martin collins 1
Having just bought a old kit produced by P& P Designs i can find no information on the internet on them, does anyone remember their kits, i am guessing this was from the 1970`s? The kit i now have is for a Port Victoria Grain Kitten https://aviastar.org/air/england/portvictoria_pv-7.php It looks to be 60" span with quite a wide chord, no scale is given but the pilot drawn in the side view is much larger than 1/4 scale so could be 1/3rd scale, the kit instructions are sparse to say the least and give only a very short history to the full size and minimal building info. No suggestion of engine required, finished weight, wing span etc, looks like a nice kit, plenty of wood in the box which is quite hefty to pick up! martin collins 1
Not sure why it won`t let me edit my own post but a re measure including the centre section makes it 72" wingspan.

martin collins 1
Pulled the kit out again this evening as i fancy a bit of good old fashion balsa stick building, it is actually 1/3 scale as it mentions 1/6th or 1/3rd versions when adding the top wing dihedral, at 72" span and the size of the pilot drawn on the plan would make this 1/3rd. It looks like quite a straightforward build, i am hoping i can get a 23cc Zenoah with a wrap around silencer mostly within the confines of the cowling. It will make a nice alternative RAF Bipe for the RAFMAA Fly Ins next year, i will do a build thread once i get started. Pic is borrowed from one of the plastic modelling web sites.
