spanner
Well, Lucky me, Santa was Kind enough to leave an SC .70 Fourstroke under the tree this year, but what to build around it??? i prefer slow and stylish , east flying, perhaps with a nod towards scale and some SIMPLE aerobatics.... any suggestions?????? spanner
That would be easy flying, in any direction!!
batcho99
Harmon Rocket. Fly on rails and very scale looking. I've got a saito72 in mine not always slow though!
Steve biplane
Spanner,my choice would be a Chipmunk, take a look at stand-off scale version on the Galaxy Models (Ipswich) site. Steve (I've got no connection with Galaxy)

Richard Duvall
I'm currently building a Chipmunk from the Airsail kit. Co-incidentally, I have selected an SC70 for it, but a recent adverse comment on my build diary gives me some concern whether I have made the right choice. andy watson
I've put a 70 4 fourstroke into my Fokker DVII- Flair kit. Any of the Flair scouts should meet your requirements of you want to go vintage warbird.
spanner
I did look at the Flair Magnatilla bt it specifies a 60 fourstroke, anyone know if a 70 fourstroke would be suitable as well????
Tim Mackey
fine IMO
Mike Gunn
Hi SpannerSanta must have bought a job lot, as he dropped one off for me on the way to your place !Being a learner ( have only ever flown a big electric chippie so far) lead me to the Sig Astro Hog. I love retro planes, and the light wing loading and large span mean (I hope) that it will float a bit, but cope with some wind. Oddly Santa dropped one of those off as well, so I guess I must have been good this year....lol. not started, but the kit looks nice, and the destructions are 5 star.cheers
spanner
Ahhh that Astro Hog has wetted my appetite, Hope to see your build blog soon Mike! but then maybe the Magnatilla................life is so hard, decisions decisions....................... Myron Beaumont
Spanner Your bigger engine will be more use than the local church roof ! You dont have to run it full chat -just put a nice big prop on -enjoy the sound of a real, istic engine & you have power if you really need it to get out of trouble - Better than dead weight or lipos etc PS does anyone know of miniature on board fire extinguishers for 'lekky deviants?
