Graham King
Does anyone know of a Hurricane suitable for a 60 2 stroke? I have a spare engine looking for a new airframe and dont want the usual Spitfire or Mustang ( excellent as they might be, I want to be different!) Jonathan Lewzey
I think Air Loisers are bringing out a new ARTF hurricane. Don't know what size it is. Have a look at the RCM&E Nuremberg feature a couple of months back. I think there's a picture in there. Why not build? You'll get a far better result than any ARTF offering and you'll enjoy flying your creation far more. Brian taylor does a plan for a .90 size 4 stroke, the equivilant to a 60 size two stroke. Danny Fenton
Hi Graham, Bob Holman does an excellent set of laser cut parts for the Brian Taylor Hurricane plan, saves a lot of work.If you really are after ARTF then as Jonathan says Air Loisers is the only one I have seen, and I am pretty sure it isn't availoable yet
Danny Fenton
I hope RCM&E will forgive me showing a link to the Air Loisers prototypes 40 and 60 sized. They are also marketted as VQ in the Stateshttp://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_5883070/anchors_5925730/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#5925730
Graham King
Thanks everyone. The Ait Loisers looks good, just needs weathering to lose that horrible shiny finish. The Brian Taylor plans look good and if there is a kit of parts available, then that may be the way to go. I think I'll have to give this one some serious thought
Danny Fenton
I really don't want to put you off the Taylor Hurricane, but there are a lot of stringers around the back end of the fuselage. Its not a difficult build but there is a bit to it. There are several forum threads on the BT Hurricane that will help with advice and pictures. I am currently building a scaled down BT Hurricane to 75% for a 600 watt electric setup, scaling and cutting out the formers/bulkheads is taking forever LOL let us know what you finaly go for
J B
Why not try Pegasus Models,in Norwich, they do a Hurricane Kit or used too

scott cuppello
Couldn't find anything on that link?Anyway, I'm another who was taken with the Air Loisirs Hurricane, but nobody seems to know when it's due out? An article said the stuff is imported by Horizon Hobby [as was Helger?] but they don't list Air Loisirs on the site....so I'm confused!Had a look at YT one, very, very nice but at well over £300 including rectracts....I'll wait! Danny Fenton
You wont get the YT one I am afraid Scott, I think I had just about the last one. They are going to be re-launched as all composite later this year.
scott cuppello
To be honest, as far as YT are concerned, I'm more interested in the Typhoon supposed to be coming out later this year, Hurricane wise, I'll wait for the Air Loisirs job. Graham King
Seen the Air Loisers Hurricane. Nice model, but I couldn't live with that colour scheme - its really awful! Green and Sand??? Whoever chose that?
scott cuppello
I thought that initially, but then wondered if it was the show lighting? So, I'll wait until it comes out, then make my mind up!
