Paul Williams
I am struggling to find a pusher prop 11x7 or 12x6 for use on electric twin set up, however I can find a few IC props which I think will do. Is it madness to fit an IC prop to a motor will it cause damage? Has anyone done this?
Bob Cotsford
all the time, they're a heavier construction but not sufficiently different to worry to much about - Strutter's using 11" ic prop, MimiPanic 9", Lil'Bit 6". The only time I went out of my way to buy a leccy prop (other than indoor or folder) it broke on the first landing. As long as it's reasonably balanced it should be fine. You can always set soft start to ease the shock load on startup, and of course don't use motor braking.
