Seen the ad in this months mag for the new hitec aurora 9,looks like a great tx at the price I found advertised. But I cannot find any prices for the rx's ,want to go 2.4 but want to make right choice
The Aurora A9 and the Spectra Pro/Optima combo sets [to update older module based Hitec TX and other Module Type Transmitters that use the same Futaba/Hitec module shape/size/pin slots. e.g.:
5UAF, 5UAP
7UAF,7UAFS, 7UAP,7UAPS, 7UHF,7UHFS, 7UHP,7UHPS
8UAF, 8UAFS, 8UAP, 8UAPS, 8UHF,8UHFS,8UHP, 8UHPS
(8FGA, 8FGH as non-module radios can not be accomodated).
9CA, 9CH, 9CAPS, 9CAFS, 9CHPS, 9CHFS
10CH, 10CA  (10CAG or 10CHG as non-module radios can not be accomodated). ]
are proving to be very popular.

Following Q&A, a Hitec FAQ page has been established

The touchscreen is just a dream to use and makes everythign so easy to setup, I struggled to setup some things on my DX6i like Tailevators on the right stick but this makes it so so easy to do!

Your hands are no where near the screen whilst holding the Tx, its also inset by about 8mm or so so no chance at all of touching it.

So far i cannot find a single thing i dont like about this system at all!

Hi, al I just went HIteck and read all about it, very nice, only they say mode 1 or 2 ?? Barry

1. Spring Tension and Mode Change is done without opening case, simply insert screwdriver to adjust the two ratchets (One for Acro, the other for heli fliers) on each stick as necessary.
refer: full detail and internal pictures =
Aurora Transmitter Mode & Stick Tension Change.

2.  6 Modes, the standard 4 + 2 of any selection you make yourself.

I read somewhere on RC universe that  there is a special offer in USA for getting another 2 recievers at reduced prices -one free and one half price via voucher in the Aurorra box.  Is this true and will it be availble in UK aswell - a bit like the Spectrum offer?

{frequently updated]   also handy for those with module based TX e.g. Futaba who simply upgraded to 2.4GHz with the Spectra Pro & Optima RX combos - keep in touch with telemetry and other upgrades available via your own PC.
