flytilbroke
What a waste of good snow, where are the Skis or floats?
James Hindle
We turned the spats round for some make shift skis / floats, the problem you had was with the fresh snow depth and weight of models mate, rather clear a patch than not fly

James Hindle
Maybe we should change the title of this thread to 'no fun in the snow' ?
flytilbroke
I quite like the title as is. We do what we can with what we have, Yes? Well you proved you could I enjoyed the ARC Floatplane on Sunday past, Found out it was a case of it really did go where it was pointed, no rudder control till it had flying speed, then not needed. The saving grace, plenty of very flat smooth stuff with the smoothest takeoffs it has ever done. Your video certainly displayed the winter around you. Martin Harris - Moderator
The new snow is STILL the wrong sort! The skis on my Limbo Dancer just sunk in again today like the pre-Christmas snow. I did manage some short touch and goes but no field length slides like last February's. As compensation I managed a few tail touches on the snow with my foamy which was a first for me.
