  2. Hi Peter,   The SD card has to be fomatted before use by the transmitter, Full details of "how to" can be found on pages 18&19 of the user manual . Hope this helps.   Dave
  3. R6Dan Email contact for Ripmax: [email protected] Customer Service Manager I had a technical issue a while back with a transmitter and he was first class at getting it resolved. As BEB says I also think you have been extremely unlucky getting two sets with faults but to Ripmax's credit they did replace your first one through your LMS and I suspect if this unit is found to be faulty they will instruct your LMS to replace that one too.   DaveEdited By David McMullan on 05/11/2010 20:40:52
  4. Dan Problem sounds like an Unrecoverable failure (EEPROM, etc.) Ripmax will be able to repair it for you   David

AA Check page 35 of user manual on how to change Modulation select. To use R617FS receivers with this transmitter you have to set modulation select to 2.4G-7CH mode. Switch transmitter off then on after making this selection. After you do this power up your receiver (you should see the receiver led blinking green) press the small bind switch located between the two antennas. When the led is steady green you have successfully bound the receiver to the transmitter. Hope this helps Dave
  6. Whacky Just ordered my Phoenix sim with free adaptor from Heliguy.com. Buying it to replace a Reality Craft Planemaster sim. It was ok but now want to move onto  something a bit more advanced. Dave ps Anyone interested in a Reality Craft Planemaster sim c/w transmitter going cheap PM me
  7. Hi Garny try here The 2100 MAH Instants packs are similar to Sanyo Eneloops but are a bit cheaper. I use them in my 6EX and also use the receiver packs. I can also recomend the first class service from Vapextech   Cheers DaveEdited By David McMullan on 19/12/2009 12:29:28 Edited By Timbo - Administrator on 19/12/2009 16:42:22
  8. Hi Dave,   Tutor 40 kit and spare parts are still listed on Ripmax website so it looks still to be current. Maybe give them a call to find out.   Dave
  9. Hi Nick,   Problem sounds like an Unrecoverable failure (EEPROM, etc.) You'll have to contact Ripmax   David
  10. Eric, As per Richard's  earlier post "TRNR ON" will be flashing. You can turn the TX off and on and it will retain this setting. To allow the slave Tx to control the model in buddy  mode you have to hold the trainer switch on the master Tx (Top left on the 6EX) Hope this helps

  12. Hi Arran, Think most popular is the FMA CPD 4 and FS8 Co Pilot. Can Google either for more info. David.
  13. Hi Kelvin, What was the outcome on your Tx's? Dave
  14. Hi Kelvin, As the slave Tx is powered from the master Tx in buddy mode it sounds as if you might have a faulty lead. I had a bit of a problem with a "compatible" lead (poor soldering at the plug was to blame) binned it and bought a genuine Futaba lead. No probs after that. Dave
  15. Sorry guys weather to be cold but dry here all weekend so I'll be at the field (Well wrapped up)  David
  16. I too have just built a Boomerang trainer and had it out on its maiden flight over a week ago. Flys like a dream. I have to agree with Geoff the instructions that come with it leave a lot to be desired, but if you read them over and over and trial fit you'll get there in the end. There are also some good club forums which help with tips on building I have replaced the supplied wheels with 2.75" ones and found this helps with uneven grass strips ( I was having problems getting off the ground) and it beats converting to a tail dragger. The other things I would advise replacing are the wing bands and the prop spinner. Both these items leave a lot to be desired! Apart from the above in my opinion, it's as good as any ARTF kit on the market and I will certainly consider another Seagull kit for my next project
