Hi Trusty, welcome to the best hobby/sport in the world. Arising Star with a 46 up front an exellant combination to learn on. My Grandson learnt on one powered with a 40 2st., it flew very well, but a 46 will handle the wind better, especialy as the winter is on us. Thanks FB3

Thanks Andy, ailerons used as spoilerons could well be the answer. Lots less work as well. Thanks FB3

HI all, not really an answer but more of a request. I will need to learn a bit about flaps. As a winter job, I hope to fit flaps to my Acrowot to use as a flaps trainer. Would it work. would I learn any thing about the model flying with flaps deployed, or is it overkill. Thanks FB3

Hi Dave, congratulations on your exellent video, and info re Chuck Lohr site. As I am not into electrics or gliding, (nitro freak) I wondered if due to vibration ,it might be pointless fitting one to an ic powered model. Your thoughts please. Thanks FB3 -
Hi FN, the Chippahawk is a great model produced as a plan pack by Skyways. Sadly they are no longer, but the same plan pack is being supplied by Masons Models I believe. With a bit of work it could be made into a nice scalish job.Originally the cowl was fibre glass.

Hi all, can any one tell me the differance between the Easy Glider and the Easy Glider electric. One has a motor in the front ,the other at the rear.. Have they both got the same wing section, and which one is the better true glider. Thanks FB3

Hi all, do these 808 cameras come with or without sd cards. If not ,what GB capacity can you suggest. Thanks FB3 -
Hi Steve, yes it has both original motors. What sort of amps are we talking about for general flying. Thanks FB3

Hi all, I have been given a used Multiplex twin Star minus, speed controller. As i know very little about the subject, do I need a speed cont. for each motor, and if so what type is required. Thanks Fb3

Hi all, I am interested in flat field gliding, and would like some gen. on bungies. Are they suitable for lightweight gliders only, and do they work. Thanks FB3. Also would a bungie set up be cheaper than an electric assist job. Thanks FB3

Hi all, another question relating to atv. My FutabaT6EXP the similar mode is called EPA end point adjustment. If I set my throttle to to close using EPA and leaving a pin hole in the carb so that the engine does not stop, Will the throttle cut button close the carb completely and stop the e ngine as it should. Thanks FB3 (could be a dumb question). Or if throttle set to close 95% with epa ,will throttle cut button overide it to close it 100%. thanks again. Hi Phil, you are correct. Thought it was a relative question due to the fact that the balloon and flag etc are flying together in a block of air. The speed and direction are there just to confuse people. Non aviation people normally come up with an answer that the flag will be fly ing at the opposite direction to the ballon direction. Cheers FB3Edited By fly boy3 on 02/10/2010 21:10:25

Hi Phil, I should have said , which way will the flag hang. Thanks FB3
-
HI all,on a relative lighter note, a hot air balloon is moving north at 20kts. the pilot decides to raise a flag, which direction will the flag fly. We all know the answer don't we?. FB3Edited By fly boy3 on 02/10/2010 18:54:25

Hi, I am looking at budget priced recievers for a small electric glider. How can I tell if they are for short range park fliers or otherwise. Is the range normally specified in recievers. Thanks FB3

fly boy3 replied to Bob Moore's topic in Build Blogs and Kit Reviews
Hi,all, never heard of that happening before. I prefer Slec tanks, and fingers crossed no problems after 20 years of flying. cheers. -
Hi all, did any one see the 3 crashes of LMA aircraft at Mutch Markle on Sat.It was announced that all models using 35MgH had to cease flying due to interference, apparently from a local telecomunications mast ,that could be seen in the distance. 2.4GhZ was not affected. I was wondering if the local flyig club also used this site?.FB3
