  1. Hi all, I have a new IPad as above. An expert transferred all data from old iPad to new iPad. One problem exists. When transferring my email system, only about 50% of my contact addresses where transferred. What can I do, ? Thank you
  2. Went for a dummy run today to get church boiler to operate on manual. All went to plan due to you information. Had to tweak the temp. initially as per mr foreman,s advice. Thanks for your help both, and Merry Christmas to my forum friends. Keep safe
  3. Thank you very much EB. Info much appreciated. Take care.
  4. Wow, I was not expecting that. As an octogenarian I do not want the hassle of re programming it. Impossible lol. Thanks I will give it a try. So as soon as its in manual the heating is on until I put it back in auto ? Cheers
  5. Hi all, our  church thermostat has been programmed to switch heat on/off on Sun only. I need to switch heating on /off manually for Chtistmas day. The manual has beaten me. I need to switch to manual, switch heating on, then off one hour later. I am asking a lot, so I do apologise. Thanks Edited By fly boy3 on 21/12/2020 20:06:23
  6. I agree, all the above are great fliers, nearly flying themselves lol. Bixler3, easy star, and twin star are very light as well so they can be flown slowly, and land with ease. This will help to get back into flying when age has crept up on us.
  7. Hi David, it's my iPad. And you are correct, it does normalise in landscape lol. Must be age thing ha ha. Thank you very much. Keep safe.
  8. Hi all, I downloaded "modelflying" amongst others to my new iPad. Seemed OK, but the black bar with white writing on " home features subscribe events "etc is about an inch lower than it should be and obliterating some parts, not allowing me to see "latest posts". Any mod available for help ? Thanks
  9. I tend to agree with you FF. My friend  is only concerned about a person listening to her conversations, as it was this person who purchased and provided the phone. Myself I think it's impossible. Edited By fly boy3 on 13/12/2020 12:38:27
  10. Update. The reason this lady is paranoid about a certain person listening to her calls, is that this certain person purchased the smart phone and gave it as a present. So there is a possibility that some thing covert may have been entered prior to receiving it. I,m with Govnor here, I don't believe it. Wish I had the technology. 11. I know of an 83 year old women who is convinced of this theory. She is a total wreck now, and will not use her mob. phone un less in an emergency. I am just trying to help her but do not know enough about the technology in volved. If it's a myth I can put her mind at rest at least.
  12. I read an article, that if you can manage to obtain someone elses mobile phone, you can implant a code in it that will allow you to listen to their conversations on your own phone.( perhaps on a cheating spouse lol). Surely this is impossible ? Edited By fly boy3 on 12/12/2020 12:35:35
  13. Nice model, nice flying too. Any info on hat camera ? Cheers
  14. Welcome to Forum Terry. If it's questions you have this is the place.. Not sure but we do have an Austrian member posting here for a good while ?
  15. Had a message from Tesco today to claim my £5 egift. They entered my last four numbers of my mob. number and asked to fill in my whole number to collect my loyalty e gift. If they sent me this text they must know my number. Scam or what ? Cheers
  16. Re the Junior 60 being used as a trainer. Years ago a gent in his sixties asked if he could fly on our site during a few days holidays. He turned up with a Junior 60 really looking worst for wear. His flying was good, but his take offs and landings were interesting. Apparently he had taught himself to fly with this model. Model on ground, throttle wide open t/o in a few feet. Landing in to wind was just throttle off, and model would land itself lol. Says a lot for this venerable old model.
  17. It has to be done. The more you do the better the finished article, and we do get it done a little quicker.
  18. Hi WW, I bought a second hand SS many years ago powered by MDS32 motor. The most enjoayable model I have flown. If you can wait, and I'd the rain stops I will put the wings on and measure it for you, unless you get a drawing spec. If you need tips on flying model please ask. These old timers need a different technique when taking off, otherwise the SS is a dream Summer flier.
  19. Thanks both, I did expect the answer would be beyond me any way. Thanks for book tip Peter will check it out.
  20. Hi all, I can understand and used side thrust and down thrust when building models. I have read about the position of the motor being above and rarely below this line in the vertical plane. Is it a fact this thrust line passes through the c/l of the wings or is it a design feature on the plan ? Is the centre line of the fus. a near enough substitute for design thrust line. In practice most of our fire walls are about the same size as our engine mounts so there is not a lot of room for vertical positioning. Thanks
  21. Also lone fishing is allowed in. England and Wales.
  22. Nice video Cliff, also good piloting skills with such a tiny model. Your eyesight must like an eagle lol. Cheers
  23. Thanks EB, what a relief. The Internet and this forum especially is wonderful. After all we are fliers lol. I have been flying for over 32 years and still am exept for Covid regulations. Take care and may your landings be like a butterfly with bad feet. FB3
  24. Early Bird and all the others who are helping this old gent, thank you very much. Due to lock down this help to another is hard as I cannot leave the house lol.I would like to sum up in laymans terms. 1, The thermostat is set for required temp. Then leave well alone. 2, The system is programmed to 2,on/off per day. 3, If I need to put heating on during an off period, could I use button No 5 (advance) on programmer ? 4, If I use button 5 will programmer revert to original setting next time ? Thanks all for putting up with these daft questions as you are my only hope lol.
  25. Hi lads, the plumber did not tell the little old lady I am trying to help that the system was even timed twice as you say.Yes Early Bird that's the one. The sticking point is the wall mounted thermostat. This is reading 23C. So this is the room temp ? If during off period 8 30 to 16 30 can you put the heating back on using thermostat ? Thanks
