  5. Hi Danny my mate is getting me some from work but don't know what size it will be i'm afraid so will pass some on to you when i get it. i will ask him where we can get some from, if a few of us want some, i should have asked him but never thought about it

  7. Hi Danny / Geoff , my best mate is a professor of design at wolverhampton university and they use that foam for there modeling design's , (so no prizes for guessing where i got mine from) i will see him on saturday and will ask him for some and will gladly post some to you if that's practical as it depends on the size it will come at, as they are usually blocks of around 600mm l/w by around 150mm thick, i will also ask him about alternatives we may be able to use, i.e. that will take glues, glassing, sandable, light weight, paints e.t.c.
  8. Hi Danny maybe next club night if work doesn't get in the way
  9. Hi Danny like the idea of the foam to keep the tail weight down. I'm still here, just been busy at work and been away so should be back on the build in a week or two

  12. Good on ya Kev you can't go wrong at that price and they're great fun to fly
  13. Great job on the cockpit Martin
  14. Same here John i just basically made them to suit the flaps and profiled them back to the fus, lokking good may i add
  15. Yes Barry cracking along now good job
  16. Hi John that makes sense now, thanks for the head's up this look's like the way to go though i have already glued the elevator joiner in place but this should not hinder anything, i have been scratching my bonce all afternoon at work and thanks for the solution
  17. Hi Barry, Danny, yes it is a fiddle, i think my main problem is how to connect to the push rod end with the brass plate on for a clevis to fit to that sits inside the bottom half of the fus and then join the two half's, i have thought about leaving some movement in the rudder end so as Danny said it can then be lifted up and glued into the ruder when gluing in the rudder it's self . Hope that makes sense
  18. Hi guys doe's anyone know what sort of witchcraft is used to to join the rudder and both halves together if using push rods as i can't work out how you connect the push rod and be able to join the two half's as this obviously need's to be done at the same time. I have bent the connecting wire for the rudder as per plan so it fits in a groove in the bottom of the rudder. Cheers Andy
  19. Hi Nigel there's plenty of time to prove that, my wife would vouch for that
  20. Hi Dylan nor did i but i'll sort something out, no problem
