  1. Looking to build one of these with Electrics sorted out motor etc but what is the best place and access to a battery area
  2. Well I have just won one of the Advent Competitions. Nice surprise and just sending my Thanks
  3. Hello Redex. It was the Whizza that had undercarriage particular if it had ic engine
  4. I built a Maricardo 2 years ago and fly on an Irvine 46 great combination, I like the way it floats in in any wind light or strong. I made canopy out of flat sheet acetate with two easy fold lines and simple screws into woodwork
  5. That's the easy part just use the cross mount as a guide plate ?
  6. Re Ply Disc Wanted I am building a Whizza and decided to go with a ply set back from the front end as if it was an IC type plane and applying the 1/8th doubler in front and rear as plan describes any use on the Fizza ? Edited By RC Plane Flyer on 21/11/2015 09:05:58
  7. The Canopy is still available use contact link on Vac Form Web pages. I was in contact about 2 weeks ago
  8. I was thinking 2 servos in the centre one for each airleon rod or even two on there side in line with fuselage line with a cranked rod to the airleon. I built my own canopy from thin balsa and strengthened in side
  9. I have just finished a Fizza yet to get a Maiden and for winter if it takes that long a Whizza. Will be following your thread closely to see how you will make a two servo wing ?
  10. Trevor. Make some 1\2 wide strips of your covering drop it over the groove then put some spare wire of the correct width to fill the groove and hot iron on the wire hey presto then fold back the spare and iron down onto your ply. Then cover as normal cutting the top film into your groove By the way excellent wing tip covering are you placing it some concourse exhibition down south ? 11. Hello Trebor Just wondering if you are still with us in covering that Wing Tip
  12. Maybe try the Needle Prick test in the Bubbles or maybe a little cut with a sharp scalpel blade to assist in getting it flat. You have to take the opinion these little wrinkles will no be seen when the model is flying high in the sky !
  13. Well Done Trebor what a finish With the green you mention you can only stretch and fit as the white to cover the tip but this time you will only be able to get a tight narrow finish on the edge of the wing tip. With regards to a green strip round the edge to the aileron well I am not sure this will be easy Maybe some else has had success in carryout such a feat ??
  14. Hello Trebor My advise is you now cut the excess of to within a 1/4 of an inch of where it is fixed to the wing rib then you snip inwards towards the rib ( With me so far ? ) very regular say 1/4 inch spacing again and get the iron and fold over an individual section at a time so that it folds under the leading section and over the previous section. Trust this is not too long winded Good Luck
  15. I would use a 19 gram servo is about the right range like the E Max ( EMAX ES3104 Metal Gear ) around £7 then add P&P Using any less in grams is vulnerable for loss of control on a vital item Edited By RC Plane Flyer on 10/11/2015 18:43:15
  16. Windows 10 has a lot of Quirks after my Optimise the Black Screens at the start stopped, you have one month to decide to go back to Windows 7 from your original update.
  17. Optimise is the new word for defragging that is done on the C Drive to put all the bits and bats back into the right order and right places so it should work faster ??
  18. Hello there I did an optimise after my update after I saw how long it took to start up the screen
  19. Brain working overtime if you can find a slim shouldered socket as kc suggests and trust you can get in onto the plug you could then use the 1/4 square drive that fits between door handles cut down to your requires length
  20. How about getting another plug spanner reasonable price, more than tubular spanner expensive, cut of the end Hexagonal section ends and ask around if someone can braise or silver solder  the two pieces together ? Edited By RC Plane Flyer on 31/10/2015 16:48:53
  21. Thanks for the detailed fix but I had found that option and tried it and logged out and restarted but still no sending maybe I should have tried the scan again but no expert
  22. I upgraded to Windows 10 last Friday Evening all went well and worked on it on Saturday no problems getting used to the new layouts but by Sunday morning had to make the decision to revert back to 8.1. For some reason and trawling the web pages for fixes I was unable to send any E Mails, Guess my 3 year old Acer was not up to it
  23. I am not sure and may well be overruled but if my memory serves me right your OPS engine may rev at nearly 42000 RPM at full throttle were as an aircraft engine revs around 22000 RPM . I assume your revamp drops the revs down as I am not sure if an aircraft prop can take the revs
  24. I sent a e mail to a Wanted Add recipient but not able to see this in my sent box is this linked to No Notifications Should I try resending ?
