The important thing is, do they provide what I want, when I want, at the price I'm willing to pay/, are they a reliable supplier etc, any beef between them and the tax authorities is up to them. -
At least the engine head was on the right way around.

Just seen in the Daily Mail that they've managed to raise a sunken Heinkel HE-115 in Norway and it looks in quite good nick.

Has anyone put in any bids for 'Higgs Bosun (used)' yet, apparently it was found in his vacuum cleaner.

RAF Saves model flyer

What has to be taken into consideration is that the rescue services have to operate for everybody, including themselves, safety. If that means calling out a helicopter the cost dosn't come into the equation. -

RAF Saves model flyer

Come on guys, if it's fun and it's in the Daily Mail, they want to ban it. Around my way a housing estate equipped with double glazing, complained of the noise that electric flyers were causing several miles away. That's their sense of fun, stopping anybody from children upwards enjoying themselves. -
Looks as though XH558 is about to do the Fairford show, weather permitting. Fingers crossed everybody.

Would it be possible to get one labelled 'British Lamb' or 'Rost Bif' and see what they make of that.

Come on, somebody must have built a model of one already?

Hi Chris, Don't have all the facts about the Hummingbird but apparently the motor was heard to be miss firing on climb out, it had a history of engine trouble, everything else is conjecture, we'll just have to wait for the inquiry, Malcolm
-
With the news of the Tornados loss coming so soon after the loss of pilot and Hummingbird at the weekend, we can only hope and pray for the recovery of the missing crew. The one good piece of news is XH558 has had a successful test flight.
-
This is not easy to describe but I'll have ago. After you've climbed to height and shut your motor down, trim the elevator till the glider starts to stall, then back off a notch or two, that should give you near on hands free gliding.
-
I have a Blaze and it has quite a fierce little motor on it. Trim is done for glide, but expect to put in some down elevator on the climb or it will come over on itself.
-
Just reporting what I expect a lot of have heard already. There has been the sad loss of Trevor Roche and the DH53 Hummingbird, at Old Warden this afternoon. RIP.

I saw a guitar for sale on ebay, collection only, Leeds railway station, cash on the nose. Needless to say it didn't sell but it's nice to see that there are such optomists out there.

How do you support your Tx when flying?

Can't understand people who don't use anything, don't they have clumsy days and a case of dropsy, ever? -

I don't know if that's great advertising or scary targeting. Just waiting for the 'Future Crimes Police' to arrive. -
My copy was on the mat when I got in. With the weather being what it is, I doubt if it will be unread for long.

Hi Stuart, The main thing to remember is you can put rates into your DX6i and this gives you a margin of safety. My local shop, ModelShopLeeds, always said when I showed my chicken side, "Youv'e got a throttle, use it", not everything has to be flown flat out. Edited By malcolm woodcock 1 on 24/06/2012 23:49:28

The only thing that you could get in the air around here at the moment is a clockwork submarine.

Yes Pete B, your right.
