    Still think John Finnegan's 'Cabin Pressure' is the real thing. From my time in Transport Command a lot of the programme rings true.

    It's a pity some of 16 Sqn's low level BI8 photos aren't available, especially the ones from El Adem where you can recognise the squaddies regiment by the photo of his belt buckle, now that was low flying, the guy was digging a trench at the time.

    Best of luck with the HK Euro order Bob, 14 days and counting for my order, contacted them and they said as I hadn't paid fro tracking it was my problem. I'll see what PayPal has to say about that.

    When I was at RAF Upavon we had some administrative duties for Filton and Fairford. Used to watch them engine testing, for Concorde, at Boscombe Down. Good luck with the apprenticeship.

    John, your right in your description but most people won't recognise a urinary extraction vehicle even when it stares them in the face.

    Stopped using them when they charged me postage for a duff charger they sent me even when they'd re-imbursed me for it. Only wanted dialogue after I mentioned it on the forum, swore then never again.

    I find my spending on models/rc gear is still cheaper than renting beer by the night, it's also more enjoyable.

    Just putting this out there if any one has the construction instructions (plans) for the Tech-one 'Fresh'. I have the kit but have misplaced the plans/instructions.

    A few years ago I ordered some DVDs from Amazon, for a friend, and had them sent directly to her address but under my name. Now, even after being very careful to tick the right boxes, I get snail mail spam from some one flogging mobility scooters. Now Amazon are the only people who had my name linked to that address so I don't use Amazon anymore.

    Joined the RAF at 15 and spent a lot of time abroad so never picked up the habit. Don't no how people have the time for all the rubbish on TV, between karate training, aeromodelling, listening to the radio and visiting friends, I never have time for it.

    It would be worth looking into any dry solder joints between motor/ESC/battery.

    Watched the eclipse this morning, in North Yorkshire, through some intermittent high cloud but don't throw away those special glasses just yet, there's another one along in 2090 I hear. Went flying again, after eclipse, ten flights before it got too hairy. Surprised the amount of trimming needed after Winter storage but only needed to change two servos.

    First time out this year, ten flights of over 5 minutes each, brilliant. Right amount of breeze and sunshine. Bring on the eclipse tomorrow.

    Heard from a fellow Boy Entrant, who served at Biggin Hill, that it has been on the local news that the Chapel has been saved.

    I remember that, I think it was the Chief QFI, 16 Squadron. Used to drive the groundcrews mad by doing aerobatics on the airtest after they had just fixed it.

    Sooner or later some bright modeler will find a way to insert a after burner in a model like this. before people pooh-pooh me I come from a generation who never fore saw the model jet engine.
