  1. Just like the Thirsk - Fylingdales - Bridlington route.
  2. It's not horseflies that bother me but those little black blighters. They never bother me until I take off, then they're in and on my face and being very irritating and I can't take my hands off the tx to swipe them.
  3. Normally I'd agree with you Erfolg but FAA is in the USA where big bucks can change just about anything and Amazon have big bucks.
  4. A very interesting thread, I've learnt a lot about linneage. As for becoming a Republic I think it's about time we grew up and selected our own head of state instead of relying on one families deluded belief that you can be born into this role. Yes I served my country for 9 years in the RAF before anybody asks.
  5. I don't know if this is on the right thread but just been reading in a national tabloid that Amazon are going on about delivery by drones again. My main worry is will Amazon be able to appropriate 2.4 Ghz for their sole use. I remember when Thatcher stole 27 Mghz to give to the Citizen Band (illegal) radio users (whatever happened to them) and we had to re-equip with 35 mhz at our own expense. I just don't want this to happen again due to inactivity on our part.
  6. That's annoying, the only time a seller is close to me and he's selling a load of junk.
  7. Your lucky Olly, Royal Fail lost a whole bagful of letters from our Housing Association, telling us when the engineer would be coming around for the annual boiler inspection. I and many others, were not in when they came around.
  8. Erfolg, There always has been and always will be people, who when they see folks enjoying themselves, is to say "I'll have that stopped". They are to be pitied and endured because for them 'Hell' must be living.
  9. What I like about electric is 'starts first time' and the 'throw in the back of the car after flying', no cleaning down., no fuel leaking in car, no half-hour starting on winter days etc.
  10. Forever the pedant I would just like to point out that 'Kamikaze' means 'Divine Wind' and nothing to do with the consumption of brussel sprouts.
  11. Definately against deletion of members posts when they pass on. There's a lot of useful information out there, if I have a modelling problem my first port of call is the forum to see if anyone has had similar problems and more importantly solutions, we don't want to lose that through deletions.
  12. Konichiwah, Toshiro, Nice blog on your build, isn't building from plans what it's all about, especially at the, hopefully successful, maiden flight. Good luck.
  13. I hope for future good luck for both Mike & Colin and hope for a regaining of good health for Colin. Best of luck to you for the future.
  14. Oh dear, female logic 'It's Fathers day, You're a father, no you can't go flying'. I've just been a victim of this form of logic myself. A female friend, of many years standing, asked me to take her shopping for wrapping paper etc for a confirmation present for her number one grandson. She was already kitted out in the clothing department for the eventful day but I was surprised how many ladies clothing stores we didn't managed to pass while looking for afore mentioned items. I have never been able to work out what out masters (mistresses?) have planned for us, the weaker sex, just go with the flow and remember the magic words "Yes Dear".
  15. Weston's too far from North Yorkshire but those vids where nearly as good as being there.
  16. Have to agree with Kev, I'm a big fan of HK. HyperBipe was 'In Transit' but as soon as it arrived, off the ship, it was with me within two days. Now I have to try and not crash this one too often.
  17. Great show and great videos. Would just like to take the opportunity of thanking the Tees Model Flying club for putting on a good show last weekend at Redmarshall.
  18. Had the radio on all day, it's not easy listening but then their's was not an easy task. The Last Post, Nimrod and all the anecdotes from those who participated have left me very moist eyed. We will remember them.
  19. With the length of time for re-charging, I'd invest in more batteries, so that I'd have plenty to fly with.
  20. I think that'll take a lot of cyano. Best wishes to Michael and check the handbrake next time.
  21. Whatever the motor mount is fastened to can resonate quite loudly especially at max revs such as take offs, aerobatics etc.
  22. Tried every where to find out start time, I hope to go tomorrow, it can't be found, not on this site, not on their club site nor 'Northern Echo' what's on. I know when the Chuckle Brothers are playing, or where I can go to make Garden Gnomes but the Teesside Model Aircraft Show times of starting and finishing seem to be a big secret.
  23. I'm sure it'll be on the 'Teeside Model flying club site.
  24. Did that Giga Wiesel try to get lift off the burning lipo or did I just imagine it.
