  5. Im pretty sure most people here dont need telling how much I love the slope soaring side of my hobby.Edited By Tim Mackey on 02/05/2016 18:49:12
  6. Tut, typical thespian that Garsden, has to say things twice to make sure everyone hears him Edited By Tim Mackey on 01/05/2016 18:03:31
  7. Posted by Steve Houghton 1 on 01/05/2016 17:00:07: Hi all. Andy Meade managed to maiden his SU-27 Flanker at the Bwlch yesterday. This didn't go particularly well due to the slope conditions, but the model lives to fly another day. The video and full story are available to read and view at A470Soaring. Good stuff lads, and well done Andy - ya held your nerve there mate
  8. I gave ip on the hk bomb release too as its reliability is just not good enough. Single mini servo and arm, rubber band over weaponry, curtain hook at other side. Simples.
  9. Excellent pictures chaps as always. 😁
  10. Posted by Peter Garsden on 21/04/2016 22:04:10: Pleasure Time Makey - he who steals waffles should not cast the first macaroon, as they say in North Wales. Ah the subtle hint was not spotted then Mr G. I was trying to be humorous in response to the mis-spelling of my name AGAIN in your club blog
  11. Thanks Peta Garden Thanks also to Steve Houghton for the videos, well done chap!
  12. Great pics so far guys and gals..... keep 'em coming. Edited By Tim Mackey on 18/04/2016 22:05:52
  13. The important thing here is that according to the report highlighted by BEB clearly indicates that wildthings now have rudders - yeeeeeeh"!
  14. Glad everyone seemed to enjoy it - Steve mate yes u have just been unlucky to have not yet experienced the big rock at its best - believe me - it is a fabulous place and deservedly reputed to be in the top 3 coastal slope sites in uk. Theres a reason the top fliers like Andy Ellison and Simon Cocker use it a lot! Just enjoyed some of that legendary lift with Andy Meade and the awesome A10 for a couple of hours this morning! Thanks for letting me have session on the sticks mate - shes a beaut 😄
  15. I made up some little flat headed dural locating pins on my little lathe to ease the fitting of the wing struts on my Grunau baby. The pin passes through a tab fixed permanently to the bottom of the strut, and a small "U" bracket fixed to the fus. Crucially, I fitted a short piece of fishing line to the "R" clips which pass through a hole drilled into the end of the pin. This way the clips are never lost in the grass, and never forgotten when leaving home
  16. Hee hee - great fun Peter. Good day and night, but sadly wont be there today as mum has been taken down to op theatre and the family are here at hospital awaiting outcome. Stressful time 😢 Have a great day chaps and try not to carpet bomb my house!
