  3. £120 taking the mickey, I use PIP printers in Hereford to copy vintage 60 inch ish plans £8 for 2 and they can scale up I have only scaled down,give them a ring very helpful. Chris
  4. I would go with vintage designs junior 60 / super 60 or simular. 25 powered 3 channel control. As has been mentioned the dihedral in the older trainers makes them very stable, weigh less and are slower flyers which equals more reaction time and in my opinion a more enjoyable flight. I have been flying vintage aircraft for 30 years and do not intend to change for a acrobatic screamer any time soon. Good luck with what ever you decide. Chris

Have a look at the Thunder tiger Raptor 30 or 50 loads still about.Sturdy and can handle wind better than small electrics, You do not have to go the electric route, I have a unflown as yet Raptor 30 V@ with OS 32 heli engine i still use 35Mhz gear in all my aircraft it all still works fine. Check out the model shop websites for availability or you can get some bargains from the bay or bmfa site somtimes. I have dabbled in electric but prefer I/C engines every time. Good luck Chris
  6. Hi, I and I'm sure many other people are still using 35Mhz gear. I'm using JR Radio gear and I've never had any problems (touch wood). If your radio gear still works why not use it? Battery will probably need changing after all these years. Stay with your I/C engines too a lot of people use electric these days but if you have somewhere to fly where noise is not a problem then why go to all that extra expense, Welcome back Chris
  7. Keep going Dave nearly there mate, Great feeling when it lifts off knowing you made it. I'm building a flair version and have almost the built fusalage then I will start on the wings its a slow process but you will get there mate. Chris

Thanks for the replies I bought a K&S mini wire bender and have just had a go at making up a U/C for my Junior 60, well chuffed with the results and only took 15 minutes even though I was constantly checking against the plan. wore goggles as advised.   9. Hi What is recommended way of bending piano wire? in particular to fit a flair plan built Junior 60. Will heating the wire weaken it? Chris

  11. Help please has any one got a photocopy of the wing ribs for a Flair Junior 60. Both wing and centre section. I have started making the above from a flair plan but have just relised that there is no side view (to make a template from) of the wing ribs or centre section. I presumed that they were shown like in the Ben buckle version (plan recently sold) I had. If any one can copy or trace around the ribs for me i would be a happy man. Regards Chris
