  1. I know all I have done is dropped by with some inane nonsense on this thread and nothing to do with the model in question, I can attest to the quality of Richards designs and kits, they are well thought out and the kits excellently produced, the P51 is one of my personal favourites and if I were doing one it would either be the A 36 Apache based on the P 51B or the Kermit Weeks P 51B in Tuskegee colours in Fantasy of flight Polk City Florida, I was lucky enough to be shown around it and in it many moons ago and the Tuskegee airman have been a point of interest for years. Alas I would love to join you in this project especially having just read through the whole thread ( I had missed quite a bit) but the last good while has seen problems with my mobility, ageing parents and their failing health and a milliard of other things to conspire against me but I do have plenty of projects to be getting on with, the La7, 109 and 110 to name but a few, the 109 is up first. So I will be looking in to see your progress with a bit of a lump, Missus has an excellent right hook, and see how you are getting on, enjoy this excellent of kits. I will know you will inspire me to get my finger out! 😂

ITS COLD OK 🤭😂

  5. Posted by Paul Johnson 4 on 12/11/2020 17:37:41: How times have changed.... I can remember pretending to cough when I farted... Now after this damn Covid-19.... I fart to cover up my cough... My Missus has that problem Paul, trouble is her timing is completely off, I am buying her a metronome for Christmas 😳💨💨💨

That is unusually optimistic for you Andy !! I hold no hope of them ironing out flaws. Regards Barrie 👍🏻🙄😂
  7. Matt Keep an eye on eBay as HP’s do come up there fairly regularly, I have a few, mainly Silver Stars as they come up more often, mostly 40’s in my case although I do have one SS 61 I do have one of each of the 20, 40, 120 and 2 off 61 Gold Cups, when rebuilding some of the eBay finds I got the parts from Mecoa who were excellent to deal with, since the lock down however the postal service they are able to use is a tad expensive, normally around the $12-15 last order was around $25 but this was due to covid and the service available but I was ordering quite a few parts for various engines which made it viable for me.
  8. Hi David I had one back in the day and was a really good design, one you enjoy flying, I had a HGK 40 in it and that was spot on power wise. I have electrified a few sport models that were originally powered by an OS 40 FSR that is of similar power to the HGK and found the EMAX BL 2826/06 motor with a 60 amp speed controller and 4S (I use 4000mah) because of the short U/C I used 11x9 Aeronaut electric prop (the original model was designed around using 10x7. This a slightly better performance the the OS, in fact two of the same design one mine the other powered by an Irvine 46 were very evenly matched, I am going to build another Skyrider soon and will be using the EMAX BL 2832/05 which is slight more powerful and I have one in stock. These motors seem to be harder to get these days but George at 4 Max has Emax equivalents Here Edited By Nigel Dell on 05/10/2020 17:41:12
  9. Posted by Glenn Stevenson on 03/10/2020 12:26:34: Just wondered if there is an extension for the 180 exhaust, its threaded inside and was thinking of maybe a length of threaded 14mm tube perhaps? Glenn I am sure there is Glenn, I bought one with my 180 as an accessory when I got it.
  10. Shuttleworth have done a lot of work in making these gatherings work in these trying times, we have attended two full-size displays there and the whole thing works well, these are not times you can just turn up I am afraid, use the procedures they have put in place, they work well. Sadly I am unable to make this weekend.
  11. I am only 13 miles from Maidenhead so if you need help it is close enough for me to pop over or I can give you my number if you prefer as we don’t know what is coming again regarding COVID. I have been doing this for more years than I care to remember and no question is daft only the one that is not asked! You will enjoy the builds I am sure.
  12. Jonathan where about are you? I am in Bagshot so was thinking if your LHS is who I think it is we are fairly local if you need any help. cheers Nige.

  15. Hi Eric I had happen to one of mine it turned out to be a faulty lead, it had a break, if you have another lead you could try it might be worth doing that if just to rule it out. Cheers Nige. Edited By Nigel Dell on 30/07/2020 11:26:27
  16. Have you seen the new Tena lady? This is the tsunami model apparently 🙄😉   Edited By Nigel Dell on 28/07/2020 23:06:31
  17. Rich, sadly it was the other way round, I got it for the covid but got scared! Now I can get scared with impunity! 🤪😂 only problem is it needs a visor demister!🤪 I haven’t found any other colours yet but I am sure I will. Edited By Nigel Dell on 28/07/2020 22:47:05
  18. All this talk of Tena lady, which I think is sexist, there is such a thing as Tena man, err so I am told and to prove it here is a picture! 🤭😳🤪😂   Edited By Nigel Dell on 28/07/2020 22:34:53
  19. Tomboy Hi Martin Something like the Vic Smeed Tomboy would be good with that engine and lightweight gear, I have a free flight one. They were used in a duration competition so you may find later issued plans with the rc mods done but it is not hard to do. Or have a look at other Vic Smeed designs there are some crackers out there, one of my favourites is the Miss 38. Cheers Nige.
