  1.  Hi All, Some years aqgo there was a handcleaner on the market that was edible. I remember the sales rep. and I trying it !! Didn't taste too bad. When I sold it to customers I used to eat some of it just to see the look on their faces. Pity I can't remember what it was called.
  2.  Hi Eric, I'm with you on this one mate, it's awful. Perhaps Mr Ashby can tell us why it's done.
  3.  Sorry Eric, This is not a joke, it's very real mate ! Gemma obviously tried it . Just wish I could buy it myself. Costs nothing to dream though does it !!!
  4.  Found this in a car magazine.    For Sale By Auction  Two seat spitfire in flying condition, Est. value £1.4 million.    Those interested contact www.bonhams.com
  5.  Hi8 David, Hope you like the e-mail i've just sent you on retirement. Allan J
  6.  Hi All, What I would like to see is the BMFA taking on the job of finding permanent sites for us to fly from. The MPA did just that.
  7.  Hi Don. welcome back to the world of modelflying, yes, I can remember flying on Epsom Downs in 1948 ! Aeromodelling was rather different in those days, I remember watching P E Norman flying his weight controlled Typhoon. Anyone else remember him ?  As you so rightly point out you need to belong to the club that did a deal with the owners of the racecourse to fly there now. Sad but true !! Regards Allan J ..
  8.  Hi Phil. Actually It's  GREY HAIRED OLD FART
  9.  Hi All, I have used plastic sheet from DIY shops for some time now, it's usually sold for use as dust sheet for decorating. Works for me !!
  10.  I use the registration letters G-GHOF on my aircraft... work it out for yourselves !!   I shall be 73 very soon and I'm a very proud great grandfather.     Yours BOF
  11.  Great service from very keen people !  I would reccomend them to anyone !!!
  12.  Hi Tim, Youre not alone there matey, I too suffer from the allergy problem... balsa dust, glues etc. I use vynl gloves in the workshop... I'm even allergic to RUBBER !!  The next postings should be quite aqmusing !!
  13.  Hi TIMBO, What has happened to the " edit your posting function " ?
  14. Hi John, When you get your steel rule you will almost certainly discover that it slides all over the shop when laid on woode ... not to worry though as there is a very simple cure to hand... glue a strip of 80 grit wet /dry paper to one side of the rule and then it will behave itself !!! this is known to us " oldies " on the forum as " teaching it better manners "  PS. Wet/dry paper can be purchased at most car accessory shops...it's usually dark grey in colour..Is this any help ?
  15.  Hi Alex, I've just tried your site, it looks good to me. No problem joining it either.  All the best to you    Allan
  16.  Hi All, Am I mistaken or do we have an organisation that should be dealing with this matter ?? What are the BMFA doing about ??
  17.  Hi Adam, I built two Ben Buckle kits a while ago, I can honestly say that  I didn't have the problem that your friend had. Was I just lucky  OR was your friend just unlucky ?
  18.  I think somebody has one already !!
  19. Hi Fred. Looks rather nice doesn't it !  I do hope that you ignore the comment made about the quality of Ben Buckle kits made some time last year ! My guess is that you are from the "old school " of aeromodellers. If you have not built one of his kits before may I offer you a small piece of advice ?  Study the plan carefully before you cut any wood and you will find it a most enjoyable experience. Have Fun...Regards Allan
  20.  Hi All, My contribution to this thread is rather meagre I'm sad to say. A small smoothing plane from Tesco's    Price  £ 1-oo. Very cheap but far superior to the one I bought in a modelshop for £4-00...
  21.  What a splendid idea... I would like to wish everyone on this forum a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year...  PS. If you decide to fly on christmas eve for goodness sake watch out for you know who !!
  22.  Wil all of Myron's postings be signed " Happy Chappie " now I wonder ??  I might just see you there Myron, I'll be the one with the sad face and a walking stick !!
  23.  It looks like a PFA exhibition to me... OR as Eric says " A Real Toyshop "
  24. Hi Timbo, Thanks for your comment on my "dodgy " posting, I couldn't open the link though. Could you send me a PM with the info. please as I would like to get it right next time. Allan J 2
