  1. The torque rods are fitted into a channel cut into the wing then you hide them with a balsa infill Ren. Thats how i read the plan anyways. Del
  2. Another plaster board user here, cheap ,flat and easy to pin to.
  3. Yet another vote for SLEC.I received my latest order yesterday they are the first place i go to when i need any building stuff.
  4. It's the building for me,i don't mind crashing just because it means more building. Oh and the smell and sound of a 4 stroke ticking over bolted to a workmate in the kitchen (the bonus of living alone)
  5. The specs seem good, just like reading through my specky dx7s manual realy but to me they have ruined it by using that cheap n nasty looking casing. I know thats the wrong way to look at it and my orange receivers never miss a beat but if they had made it look more classy and less cheap market stall toy i'd look at it more seriously.
  6. Glad i'm not alone with a growing list then lol,i have 1, atrex 500 in an airwolf shell with a 4 bladed head to finnish off 2,A TN 62" spitfire roughly knocked up but loads to do 3, The basic 3D that i won on this site ,thats laid out on another table 4, This years mass biuld, the power train turned up this morning so i will be finding a space to start later. I have also got to get a lot of flying practice in,i bought my nephew a blade 120sr for christmas, spent some time teaching him what did what and away he went.I'm already asking him how did you do that.
  7. I ordered the full cnc pack my motor and esc etc today.Fingers crossed it'll all turn up for xmas
  8. You make a good point Graham I've been in the hobby for just over a year now but hadn't heard of hobby king till i joined this site.I always try to use the uk sellers/shops and enjoy their fantastic next day delivery services without a problem. i tried to place an order with hobbyking recently just to find most of what i wanted on back order etc so i gave up and ordered from other retailers who seem to control their stock levels and can dispatch what you order when you want it.
  9. Looking at the picture i reckon you'll need to align a hole on the inner bush with the grub screw hole to alow the screw to grip the shaft that passes through the center. Edited By Del Wheatley on 23/11/2012 00:57:55
  10. Hi fingerless I've had a look at you video and looked at the tail section in the pdf,It's hard to tell on the video but the only thing i can see is that when you move the blades the pitch adjuster is sliding free on the shaft that actuates it (the shaft that goes through the middle) it needs the grub screw tightened so the pitch adjusts when you pull/push the rod from behind the head. if thats not the prob then give us some more info and a close up picture so we can see better.
  11. My os 72fsa starts a dream with one flick and it's only just run in but i tend to buzz it into life with a starter,i like to keep my fingers clear if i can.
  12. The answers simples, ejector seats the pilot arms the system when a problem arises, rolls back the sun roof and fires the passengers out like fireworks.
  13. Hi you will need to trim the tag the arrows pointing to so that the plug is flat along the entire length, takes 2 seconds with a scalpel.
  14. I find the fuel going stale issue quite interesting as i spend a fair bit of time around the drag racing scene. It's common to dispose of Nitro/methanol at the end of a meeting as the engine won't be as strong on even month old fuel for the next time out.Iv'e seen full nitro motors explode with the only change in circumstance being stored nitro being used. Forgot to add my ride on mower runs on methanol (i like the smell) and that rattles like a bag of spanners if the fuels been left in it too long. Edited By Del Wheatley on 09/10/2012 10:37:31
  15. The trouble is the council won't care that your club follows the rules and the complainer will win in the end. Example....A practice track i used is now shut down even though they proved that all the rules applied by the council and enviroment agency were adheared to the complaint of noise on days the track wasn't even open was used by the council to enforce closure of the buissiness.
  16. I do my ins through barklays bank,It covers high cost items in the garage etc,i just had to specify value and prove security measures. Covered the house, garage and shed for less than the cost of going to a specific bike insurer to cover 1 race bike.
  17. well all went well, had a bit of a hover etc then she seemed to go massivley out of trim and things didn't look right. on inspection the mounting plate inside the fuselage for the mechanics has come adrift and is floating around inside. Propper bit of quality kit from Align
  18. I bought a trex 500 a month ago and enjoy learning with it so much i built the AH1 version as well. Just thought i'd pop a pic up as the AH1 maidens later on today. As you can see in the pic my garden backs nicley on to my flying site.
  19. You been caught as well GB The 15% cheaper price soon vanishes when customs hit you with import duty,20% vat and handling charges. Then the royal mail sting you as well for having to collect the fees.
