i forgot to add its a futaba t7c
-
I use futaba 2.4. I have a model with a seperate servo for the tail wheel. I have set it up as a slave chanel to the rudder. problem is i need to reverse it without reversing the rudder chanel. does anyone know how to do this please?
-
yes thats the one. i have also found another one of various planes doing the same including spitfire, hurricane and hunter. also worth a look.

Has anyone seen the video on youtube of the vulcan displaying off Beachy Head? it is truly awesome and well worth a look. sorry dont know how to add a link.

Fitted it back in airframe. it started first time so took it up the field and it flew fine. Problem solved lol. seems it was my lack of experience. oh well no harm done and you learn something new all the time.

I have two models with pusher props. both electric. One is a nijuhs mig 25 and the other is a canard. both have the motor mounted without any offset and fly perfectly.

many thanks to all for the advice. it sounds as if i am expecting more compression than there should be. i will fit it back in the model and try it. I suspect it was just a bit gummed up at first because it hasent run for a few years and has freed up now.

ok John thanks for that. Maybe i am expecting there to be more compression than there should be. It was tighter when i got it but i am told it had not run for about 5 years so maybe its just freed up a bit now? i will try it again with fuel in cylinder.

I am having a problem with an sc 120 4 stroke and would appreciate any help as i am new to 4 strokes. It has run fine acouple of times and flown once ok. tried to start it today and it fired briefly then stopped. now there does not seem to be any compression. Is this right for 4 stokes? or do they need priming before there is any compression? I have stripped it down and everything looks ok. piston and bore is fine, valves look ok and are working as are pushrods. is it possible that the valve timing has altered? and if so how do i retime it? I may be barking up the wrong tree and any help would be great. Edited By cliff bastow on 05/11/2012 15:53:58

maidened it today, motor started and ran almost straight away, not bad for a motor that has not run for about 5 years. Flew really well. really pleased with it.

The wingspan is just under 8 feet and the engine is an SC and about a 120 i think. many thanks for the info i will try to look on the web.

My wife has just bought me a large Tiger Moth for my birthday, lucky boy i know. It is fitted with a large sc 4 stroke. As i only have experience of two stokes i would appreciate a little help. Is the tuning process the same? can i run it on the same fuel? i run my two strokes on 5 percent. Is there anything else i should be aware of? Any help would be most appreciated.

I am on my second travel air. love it to bits, they fly really nice and i think for the money they are excellent value. I would suggest you check out the uc mounting as it is the only week spot on them. I agree with the comments about the covering if left in a hot car but it can be reshrunk with a hair dryer if you are carefull. Enjoy your model they are a great first low winger and should see you through your b if you wish.

many thanks bob will try that. the engine seems to idle and throttle ok but fi i fly at about half throttle the engine suddenly seems to throttle down a bit after a couple of mins. then it wont throttle up again unless i reduce power to idle first. any ideas anyone?

I am having problems setting up my thunder tiger 42. can anyone help? i am told that the carburettor is of a different type and i dont know which of the apparent adjusters is the idle setting. I have tried to find a manual on line with no success.

think i will have to order one of these, always liked the hurricane. was going to get the new e flight one but its nearly 4 times the price. whats wrong with the music on the video by the way? its from the film battle of britain so quite appropriate i think.

Hi olllie, welcome from me. another ex biker like yourself. sold my last bike when i started getting scared and soft in my old age. I had an arttech cessna and found it to be a good flyer. you can get spares from century uk and there service is very good. i think they have a web site. good luck with this wonderfull hobby.

i found it easier tp plank some parts of the fuselege and booms as you say there are some very tight curves. have you decidedwhat power train and prop size you will be using?
-
i am attempting to build one but i cannot find in the article any sizes for either the two or three bladred prop. any ideas anyone please.
-
i am by no means an expert on electric flight but my understanding s that the esc is working harder at low throttle than full. this is because the esc only supplys full power, but at low throttle settings it is constantly switching on and off wheras at full throttle it is just switched on. this is what generates heat. hope this helps

A cert for me. its a requirement to fly at my club. think its a good idea myself.
-
flew it again today, boy this thing is fast but flew better now the ailerons calmed down. you have to keep it moving fast and it looses hight in the turns if you arent carefull but other than that its fine.
-
many thanks for that. will try a 6 pitch first.
-
does anyone know what size prop is fitted to the e-flight p40 300 size please as i have broken both ones supplied with the model and i cannot see a size stamped on it or anywhere in the manual.
-
i noted there was an old thread on here about the nijhus mig 25. i recently maidened my build and also found it to be nose heavy. i moved the cg about 10 mm backwards and found it much better, although it is very fast and i had to calm the ailerons down as it was lightening fast in roll. hoping to try it again soon when work and weather allows.
