  13. hi all, having own my typhoon for a year now .its my first model up and last down. ballasted in a good blow it is a missile, we flew at firle nr eastbourne last sun and it flew faultless again, the typhoon is my first mouldie and im glad i picked this model, there are 20mm ballast kits on ebay, i was flying with 14 oz,, it was a good balance between speed and agility. cant recommend this model enough.
  14. my first limit shown in pics, purple one has 40mm on each tip and it flys really well, i even had to ballast it a little in a good wind
  15. after a smash, its nomally a quick CSI moment to discuss what happened then followed by hours of mickey taking by dad and friends. if its repairable its fixed, if not it goes in the bin at the field, what goes up eventually comes down!! 16. Hi I had a het f18 a while back, unfortunatly i wasnt that impressed with it. The tailerons were ok in roll but pitch was very vacant, c of g is very important on this jet, and a light setup is the way to go, the recommened setup is the way to go or efight fan and motor out of the habu, flew it on both but compared to there other jets i didnt get on with it, so it got sold. best of luck matt
  17. Hi all looking for a new project and really fancy the f15 strike eagle but am struggling to find a plan, any ideas????? many thanks matt

  20. Hi Cliff in my experience lipos can have that problem from new, however. I used to use a cheap balancer and used to have to same probs, low power, not lasting, weak cells, Cheaper lipos i think do suffer quicker more too. I bit the bullet and brought a decent digital charger and all the lipos i run have lasted a round 2 years and still going strong, the charger i use is a graupner ultramat and its a wicked investment, i mainly run 2200 turnigy lipos and have 20 of them and all are as good as new, ultramat charges and balances at the same time , discharges and u can charge all types of batteries aswell, its very easy to use and charges upto 6s worth the investment. Always be aware that lipos are dangerous so use a lipo bag when charging, good luck matt .
  21. hey twinstar The limit is twice size of the original. The wing was made as per the original but i used two hard wood spars making a d box, didnt want to deviate from. the plan as the original flys so well . the wing is fully skinned and is bloody strong and easy to build once the ribs were cut out I .think foam would be heavier due to the thickness of the cord. i got a typhoon, they are the lick, ballasted up in a good blow it howls and has no nasty vices
  22. We have an unofficial scoreing system. I finished on about 13 smashes last year. What goes up must come down.
  23. Dad and i have had the same discussion for hours dave. lol
  24. Finally got the orocover out and wrapped her up all we need now is a good blow and a bit of luck!! and the bottom ala stripes!
