I know it's fhss but what version the jumper does carona futaba and various other fhss protocol just haven't found the right one yet hoping someone else has already done it and can tell me which one to try Thanks for the quick reply though

Not sure if I'm in the right place someone here might be able to help I have a jumper t16 4 in 1 and an I range X 4 in1 trying to find out what protocol works with some receivers I have These are the RX's they are branded as code but are the same as etronix and tamco not actually going in a plane for a boat ⛵ Thanks in advance

Brilliant advice I run a 4in1module swapped the settings to ppm and the 9xr will buddy up the teranis seems to struggle to be the slave probably not a bad idea giving a 10year old a decent radio probably not a good idea Thanks for the help

the trouble is that the calibration section never moves from all zero's no signal is being detected as neither radio recognises the other i cant allocate to something as the radio doesnt find anything to give control to the figures on the cal line never change both radios are running er software as i updates the teranis and got loads of warnings about internal batteries and needing to update my multi module didnt back up my old software and cant get older versions of open tx backed into er9x the pages are all very similar all the trainer pages are the same still have special functions pages just dont seem to be able to use either radio as a slave only as a master the screen shows slave but gives no output for the master to transmit will try to get some pictures later to make it clearer could the different voltages be an issue wouldnt have thought so but teranis is 7.2v spektrun is 6v turnigy 9xr is 11v

ive tried but nothing seems to make any difference do i have to set an output on a different page before trying to set up on the trainer page does the spektrum automaticaly do something the open source needs setting up seperately

the 9xr goes into slave mode as soon as a trainer lead is connected goes into master when turned on all the settings are at 100% is there a setting to activate an output that i havn't yet found

pretty sure i have it right as the spektrum connects with both radios its like i am not getting an output from either of the open source radios they both accept an input

forgive if this has been covered before and the issue is an easy fix but i have gotten to the end of my skill with a teranis x9d i am attempting to teach my grandson to fly and having 2 radio's running er9x software thought i could buddy lead them together not quite going to plan both radios will accept an input from a spektrum dx6 (borrowed)but neither will talk to each other the the turnigy 9xr powers on when a buddy lead is connected the teranis doesn't all the youtube videos seem to show an instant connection on the trainer set up page and a change in the values on the cal line this happens when i plug in the spektrum but not when i connect the turnigy any help would be appreciated dont want to buy a new radio until i know if he is serious about taking up the hobby

the eagle eyed may have spotted a second joker in the pictures it was for me a proof of concept built with no mods and with an ic motor well that plane has now been flown but the big mistake was overpowering the plane it looked too big for a stock 25 and as we had no tuned pipe to hand the decision was made to fit an irvine 39 with a 10x6 the aircraft was very quick with an 11x4 the speed was reduced but full power was unlimited vertical rarely need to go above half throttle landing was difficult because this plane is very low drag it doesnt slow down so the 39 has been removed and a sporty 25 fitted waiting for better weather to retry all in all a very smooth flyer not a 3d type but graceful like aerobats off old relies on inertia not power bob seems happy

after a phone call to a fellow flyer and frawler of ebay a galaxy models magician was spotted i seem to remember they were available through the plans service pre sarik was i imagining this if not what happened to them they are not available through hobbystore or sarik i know galaxy ceased trading a long time ago were hobby store selling old stock or were galaxy trading through hobby store

tried dowloading er9x for terannis which is a bin file that both eepe an companion dislike it is an invalid langusge for companion i havn't found anything that seems to open it so that i can install looks like i am stuck with what i have i sort of gave up on trying to set up open tx when it took nearly 3 weeks to set up flaps and flapperons on a pnic biplane three differant flight modes all sort of mixing and servo reversing up ellevator with down flaps while still having aileron control just about managed it on the computor then transfered to the tranny to find out some controls were reversed that just through a huge spanner in the works and now flying is so rare everything needs learning afresh every time i have to admit i bought a radio that does a lot more than i need and its nice that i can use almost any rx thanks to the irange module any help in making it eassier to use would be brilliant

thanks for that i have a 9x that is so much easier to use things like throttle cut and basic wing mixing are on a seperate page and easier to set up the tarannis seems to be more quad focused i have eeskype and companion installed as i needed to flash for a multiprotocol module it just seems to be getting so complicated now i think i am going to have plenty of time on my hands to try and get the tranny to my liking now thanks for your reply

i have a terannis x9d and am struggling with it it has open tx installed has model templates to create models as i only fly fixed wing i dont have heli i dont want quad but cant get rid is it possible to get firmware similar to the old turnigy that has basic mixing like the throttle cut and the like i have no need for global functions and custom switches any help making this radio more user friendly would be nice

Thanks for the advice and support it seems that companion is the issue I have been able to install er9x through eeprom still not been able to find the transmitter with open tx it must be that my radio or usbasp is no longer supported

Thanks for all of your suggestions I think I will have to find someone who can show me how to do it before I see how far my transmitter will fly nearly got it working on windows 8 want to mess around with open tx on a transmitter I already have before commiting to a ?200 x7s system

device manager recognises the usbasp but avr dude doesn't i have ried the zaig and windows universal driver i have tried on setup to trll companion where to find the usb to no avail i was hoping to have a play with the 9x before commiting to a taranis thought it would be a lot easier

i am having trouble connrcting my turnigy 9xr to companion i have a usbisp and 6 pin adapter dowloaded zadig drivers and all my computers find it and are happy with but when i try to connect all i get is avrdudecant find usb starting to grt a bit frustrating any help would be appreciated

It's the 9x with a 6 pin plug the transmitter powers up from the usbavr but it won't upload or download

having trouble trying to put 9x on my turnigy 9xr the computr recognises the usb but companion doesn't, keep getting usb not found tried as many versions of companion as possible and device drivers with no success what am i doing wrong

china has had its day we have some importers in our office block they are moving out of china they are getting expensive bangladesh is the new hotspot

tried the module with a skysport 4 (lots of wre and pins)and the effect is greatly reduced may just be the turnigy is just a little out of sync it has never been a problem in the air just a bit strange on the ground i thought i may have been able to change one of the many settings on the9xr to improve it seems not ,live with it seems to be the way

os made irvine engines in china to test the quality when the quality came up to scratch they started using the factory to produce their own engines and dropped the irvine brand so the engines will be as good as the japan

my module is the newer telemetry module and it is running futaba servo's it looks like it maybe the tx running at the wrong frame rate i did work my way through 14 pages of posts it may be that turnigy is different to the main players in the rc world

all this doesnt cure the problem it could be a blind spot the aerial is not in the best place in the transmitter in fact it is in a position that spektrum dx6i owners are told never to put the aerial (vertical)it maybe the signal has been lost if the loss of control was the same place every time it may not be the model at fault but the pilot pointing at the model then the rx wouldn't go into failsafe in the first place

14 pages of top end electronic stuff way over my ability turns out the frame rates of turnigy and frsky don't match i kill spektrum just by touching it, sticking with my 35meg futaba f7c just does what it is designed to do
