  2. Hi John, good to hear that the first flight went well - frankly I hate the first flight everyone is watching and it is very nervous so nice one
  3. Hi, I just bit the bullet and upgraded my Aerofly5 to Aerofly RC7 Ultimate which seemed to be a good choice - it is downloading now So since we don't have a topic on this version I thought I'd start one The site I purchased the upgrade from is HERE The official Aerofly RC 7 site can be found HERE I'll post some reviews of the upgrade but please don't wait if you already have some thoughts Edited By jolliffee on 08/03/2014 16:35:35

  5. Gosh the inside of the fuselage is cavernous - is this the BNF version? Did the spinner come with it - the plane looks great!
  6. Looks like there are other options so I had a google on workbench and found ScrewFix had a couple of possibilities Keter Folding Workbench and this Lighter cheaper one Edited By jolliffee on 07/03/2014 12:38:38
  7. Posted by Max50 on 07/03/2014 07:43:02: I use the Seagull field box. It raises the model up for assembling and fuelling, but then i still use a restraint on the ground to start the model. You have to epoxy the drawer fronts,as two of mine pulled off. Easy to transport, and works well. Could you tell me how high it raises the model off the ground and is it stable - thanks
  8. I hate long leads so would be meted to route them underneath and shorten them in the process!
  9. Posted by Masher on 06/03/2014 18:51:28: An ironing board makes a good substitute - if you can smuggle it out! Too late I got caught using IT as a surfboard so no chance now. This one looks OK but would cost too much to import it- LINK
  10. Yes they appear to have shut up shop, I tried to purchase one last September but couldn't get an answer from the telephone, mobile or email They are perfect for those of us the can't bend so it's disappointing they have stopped trading, maybe some enterprising fabricator will take up the opportunity! 11. Hi Each - it's not ready for general release - unless you want to be the one to find the problems. It is possible to manually download but the number of fixes that are coming out I'd wait a week at least
  12. I loved my Diesel Rivers Silver Arrow - I really enjoyed flying C/L combat at least 50 years back - I think I still have it somewhere, though it doesn't work anymore!
  13. I wonder what the purpose & benefit is of the figure of eight is - the rest I understand!
  14. Posted by Chuck Plains on 16/02/2014 13:25:12: Yeap! And now we have the best flying day in weeks available, but I hurt my leg riding my mountain bike so can't even walk from the car to the flying site! DOH!! Yes that is tedious I hope your leg gets better soon. For me I'm trying to get my fence sorted after the gales on Friday night took out 4 of my 6x6 panels - even then the flying field is still under water so I've had it either way.
  15. Hi Danny. Please keep on detailing the build it is a great help, especially when you are an old un like me Thanks David
  16. Thanks Danny - it isn't wasted I need this sort of help! Oh! I see you pilot looks keen to be in the air
  17. Very nice Phil. It all looks superb, the engine is the icing on the cake!
  18. I found a reasonable article on arming switch strategies here .
  19. I have this LINK HobbyKing - Turnigy Precision Watt Meter and Power Analyzer. It works for me and is affordable!
  20. I have two ESC's that have a separate disabling switch built in, there make it very easy to use but I still don't trust them totally and keep well away from the propeller. I wonder why there aren't more ESC's with this feature?
  21. I like HK, and have used them a lot 18 orders mostly from China, only had one delay which wasn't their fault.. The only problem is the time it takes for the new products to get to the UK warehouse but I'm now getting more patient; though there are still some items that never seem to get there.
  22. Posted by Phil Winks on 25/09/2013 17:41:22: Seecoomber if its any help have a look at my build article it is still a work in progress and will eventually be completed. Phil Hi Phil. What size of propeller did you end up with? I've just purchased a pre-owned E-Pioneer which has already seen two people through the A test so I'm hoping I will be the third! It is a little worn as you may expect but nothing that I going to worry about except it came with a 12x8 propeller which I think is a little on the large size?. Thanks, David Edited By jolliffee on 05/02/2014 17:00:09
  23. Help Please! My plan is to build the 88" Barnstormer with EP so I was think about putting dummy exhausts at the side since I don't like the lump on the top which I think is aimed at and IC installation; the ones I've been looking at are from Fighteraces see, here So what size should I be looking at since that are quoted as either 1/5 or ¼ scale which I have no idea how to work out what size is what . Thanks, hopefully David.
  24. I have used ZAP for years but now I also use Deluxe for foam
