  1. Posted by Colin Leighfield on 26/05/2015 16:00:10: Excellent Danny, much better than mine. I think the Bucker Bestmann is a very attractive plane. Although it is an Ideal model subject and someone will have done it, I've never seen one that I can recall. I saw on the SLEC stand at Gaydon 2 years ago the prototype Bestmann they were developing, looked very nice, but not seen or heard anything of it since.
  2. Thanks Colin, I wanted to say Kittyhawk, do you know if it is it powered by Merlin or Allison, it did sound good! Edited By Glenn Stratton on 03/07/2015 18:55:55
  3. Just been treated to a brilliant 5 minute display by this P40 (correct me if I'm wrong) in Sandy. Images are just squared and on a 400mm lense.
  4. I'm planning on being at O.W, would be great to make your acquaintances Danny, Colin & Martin.
  5. Hi Nev, you have produced a neat pair of wing tip lights, can you give some more information on how you made the housings please.
  6. Looking forward to watching your progress Barry, I too have a soft spot for the Whirly since building the Airfix kit in my youth.
  7. Very sad news indeed. Heartfelt condolences to Janet, family and friends. Like a few others his was one of the first columns I turned to in the mag, will sorely miss his contributions.
  8. Mark Lane has it right, Parc Amber adjustable quiet mount with rubber bushes. Sadly they are no more. Mine doesn't have the split pins, yet! Ps I have a brochure (I think) if I can find it I'll scan and post it on here.  Edited By Glenn Stratton on 11/02/2015 14:26:25 Edited By Glenn Stratton on 11/02/2015 14:41:14
  9. Saito 40S, well suited and generally flies on about 3/4 throttle.
  10. I'm hoping to be at O.W for the Gathering, if any one else is going it would be great to meet up. As Martin F. has said BlackhorseIreland is nice, and there are a few other places nearby to stay overnight for the first airshow of the season the next day!
  11. I've only ever glassed a wing join, so yes I would like to see how you go about doing a complete airframe Danny. Were you due a new Rotocraft? Now I see the canopy rail in place I see what you were saying!
