Super simple to solder, and (as long as you keep the + wire on the + pole) you can't plug them together the wrong way. I have done the same all lipo's and models are on XT60's - no more adaptor leads needed to connect Deans, EC3, etc.
  2. Completed the survey yesterday, must admit it was like wading through treacle. I don't think it will make any difference what I think, I can only hope the BMFA and LMA have some influence.
  3. Jon - As part of a school heritage project I have visited the National Archives a number of times to obtain copies of WW1 Officers Service Papers.as they are all hard copy and have not been digitized. One of the officers who served in WW1 also served in WW2.Kew does not have a copy of his papers as they have not been released by the MoD. I have looked at the National Archives website recently and it states that all WW2 servicemens records are held by the MoD.. the NA do have some WW2 of a more general types of records,, for example 'War Diaries'/ There is an outside chance that the RAF Museum may be able to help as they hold some individuals log books and aircraft records..
  4. Hi Onetenor The treaty is commonly know as the 'Treaty of Rome' the explanation (unfortunately in the usual gobblygook)of your sticker can be found at: :http//tompai.pro/ecommerce/goods-not-fulfilling-conditions-laid-articles-28-29-treaty-functioning-european-union/
  5. WW2 Service records are held by the MoD it is possible to obtain information or copies of you Grandfather's personal file : https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/requests-for-personal-data-and-service-records
  6. The MOD have just announced RAF Scampton is to be sold, and the Red Arrows to be relocated by 2022.

After all, whatever might happen to row 13, will happen to the rest surely? It is a risky business, sitting in a metal cylinder being propelled along by exploding chemicals......... I'm not superstitious, but I accept that the existence of triskaidekaphobia means you can't simply ignore the 13th. There are many ways for 'self-fulfilling' to manifest itself. A very very good reason to not have a seat row 13 is the administrative hassle of people wanting to avoid it, change seats, or have meltdowns because of their fear. When you consider that, I can't think of any good reasons to include a row 13... You had me wondering for a while Percy so as I used to regularly fly Lufthansa or Qatar airlines A340-300 decided to check their seating plans Lufthansa have no row 13 they simply miss the number out. Qatar do have a row 13. Perhaps the German know something we don't!
  8. Friday 13th never noticed. Not sure but I don't recall a seat Row 13 on airliners.
  9. Posted by Cuban8 on 08/07/2018 07:39:09: An ambulance badly damaged in London, bus shelters trashed, and goods damaged in a Swedish store. What a bunch of morons. Far from surprised listening to the local radio earlier in the week on the subject of domestic violence they said that when England lose their match instances of domestic violence increased by 35%, surprisingly when England win the increase in domestic violence is about 20%.- the beautiful game!
  10. 11. Fed up! Not likely looking forward to Saturday - roads will be deserted so should have a good run out.
  12. Posted by Jon - Laser Engines on 03/07/2018 08:53:56: Posted by Kevin 216 on 03/07/2018 08:33:31: I learned to fly recently and did not use expo on aileron and elevator. However, I found I had a tendency, when advancing the throttle for take-off to feed in a little rudder input. 30% expo on the rudder mitigated the problem and my small stick errors were damped out - result straight take-offs. I still fly in this configuration zero expo on aileron & elevator, 30% on rudder. As for rates I set them and usually maiden my model on low rates once satisfied all is well I use full rates. With all respect to Kevin (this is not a personal criticism) this is exactly why you shouldnt use expo when learning. Instead of learning to move the throttle accurately the error is being masked by the expo and by his own admission that state is set to continue, most likely for the rest of the time he is a model pilot. Its a far better bet to learn to move the sticks accurately in the first place. All of my students do the same with the throttle/rudder interaction so you arent alone in that, but within a handfull of takeoffs and some dedicated rudder training they soon kick the habit. No offence taken Jon, couldn't agree more with you, I have been taught to fly with the rudder and use it when needed in flight and on approach, unfortunately I'm no spring chicken and have the equivalent of golfers 'yips'.

  14. Not just the moors, some intelligent people's barbeque blew over on Lytham green on Saturday and you guessed it the green went up in flames, a few hours later the Nature Reserve on Clifton Drive in St. Annes was ignited the main link road between St. Annes and Blackpool was closed for hours as 5 fire crews fought to extinguish the flames. Padded room and throw away the key springs to mind!
  15. Went to Morcambe today thought I'd have a walk along the prom a bite of lunch and visit Model & Hobby Word on Albert Street. Found the prom, found lunch, found Albert Street but no Model & Hobby World shop - perhaps its only going to be an inter-web shop. Has anyone placed an order with this shop?
  16. Hi Levanter, I have spruce, just a bit confused with the differing instructions. So spruce it is - many thanks. Kevin
  17. I'm\building the Flycatcher from the plan and following the build blog images posted here and am a bit puzzled. The plan shows the upper longerons being 1/4 square balsa, but the blog says 1/4 square Spruce. Anyone who has already built the model advise?

The off switch doesn't seem to work, when the wife has the controller.. The off switch in our house works, SWMBO always has the controller she can't stand footbore, really enjoying the peace and quiet.

Isn't he more famous for flogging crisps?
  20. Never heard club members mention football so I suspect, weather permitting, the strip will be packed this month. I won't be watching a single second of the football, I don't understand all that hysteria. However I appreciate some people enjoy watching and there are lots of other channels packed with rubbish to choose from.
  21. Staples shops/outlets rebadged as Office World and cheaper.

Like Kevin says, the novice starts off behind the model, being the safest place if the model veers right or left Denis you misunderstood me even when learning I stood to the side for take-off never behind the model as I liked to gauge speed and distance., It was the club member who taught me to fly who always stood behind his model. As we were not using a buddy box this did not pose a problem for him..

  24. Hi Percy he said he had walked down Albert Road and most of the shops were closed. Don't think he rang the number. If I can I may visit the week on 11th and look for myself. Agree the web-site is filling quickly so there is activity..
  25. A club member was in Morcambe on Wednesday and said he could not find the M&HW shop. Has anyone visited it?
