  1. I have just been given an old Helicopter to play with but its a Bnf flybarless Blade mcpx, now I have a module for the Taranis which binds ok with Spektrum and looking at various programming info they all say changing the channel controls on the radio to TAER for Spektrum gear. But I have loads of other programed planes already on AETR So I am thinking I don't want to change this over really, if I do will I have to altar this in the radio settings every time I fly this on TAER and then go back to AETR for my existing planes ?
  2. A few days ago we had an empty envelope delivered inside a plastic bag with a label on apologizing for missing contents and that it was not there fault Well I would like to know who`s fault it was for letting the envelope get wet and crumpled in the first place. I know what you need to do Nigel and thats put SUPER GLUE on the door matt so the postman cant get away quick
  3. Posted by Martin Harris on 19/11/2018 22:25:59: Not the ones illustrated but I made a similar dolly to launch a 4 metre Discus which was very difficult to hand launch. I've used it on other smaller powered gliders since and the only drawback is having to retrieve it from the runway. Perhaps some motors and GPS return to home might be a useful development? Convert one of those electric race cars with a fusalarge support and get a mate to drive it back
  4. You might not need a can on the end due to the length of flexi pipe. ps, you would be better clamping the can.  Edited By trebor on 15/11/2018 18:45:23
  5. Baldrick found it on an episode of the TimeTeam
  6. Some one looked at the crank end and left it
  7. At the end of the day what does it matter, as long as people enjoy themselves.
  8. Thats a good idea, though another reason for not doing it is the data protection laws and having member lists floating about to get in the wrong hands seem to be taken to the extreme in our club.
  9. I like Facebook for this sort of thing, its free, instant notifications, swap pictures, sell bits n pieces, scrounge bits n bobs, but you need a smart phone and you'd be surprised how many people don't have one.
  10. Posted by john stones 1 on 12/11/2018 22:12:04: Our treasurer dragged our club out the dark ages and set up a facebook group, been a big success, plenty new members via it, m/rs, petrols, helis, some traditional stuff and loads of new fliers with foamies. I wish our club would go on Facebook, it would be so easy to arrange flying days with your mates.
  11. Cheers, I got this as a used plane and these servos have always been noisy but now have started buzzing most of the time.
  12. Hello chaps, I need to replace my 2 x aileron servos, the specifications recommend High Torque on the H9 website its a JR ds821, 5 to 6 kg-cm. I have some iffy power drawing Cirrus P-s502mg servos that need to come out. Can anyone recommend good replacements
  13. Posted by Cuban8 on 13/11/2018 10:27:43: Trebor, the problem is the employment of casual labour and having those people carry out jobs that they're really not up to. Put yourself in the position of delivering a sackload, or more, of mail into an area that you're not familiar with - how would any of us get on given the pressure to get the job done, and as you say, that assumes our English is reasonable. Speak to a postie who has done the job for years - his/her knowledge of the area will be immense, not something that a here today and gone tomorrow casual will have or will be bothered about. I know what you mean but you forgot to add casual "CHEAP" labour I mean maximum profit comes first nowadays. One morning I was working on the car down the side of the house next to the front door and postie turned up. I even said good morning to him, he never said a word, I saw him push letters through the post box and as I had dirty hands it was another half an hour before I got to read them He had even pushed a parcel undelivered card through as well so I had to wait 24hrs and go to the pickup point to get it. I was not happy and its a good job he never came back haven't seen him since.
  14. All I will say on the subject is I wish they would employ people that can read English as we get a lot of other people's mail and it clearly states a different street to the one I'm living in we used to deliver it to the correct street if it was within walking distance but now I stick it back in the post box with a note saying it was delivered wrongly by someone who can't read. I mean come on there are big signs at the end of the street for people to read with big capital letters.
  15. I started on Spektrum and tried Futaba but now settled on Frsky / opentx. I got fedup with the annoying menu layouts, Opentx can be as simple or as complicated as you want and there is plenty of support about if you need it.
  16. Mine has started falling apart now I got it flying. Its as if the chap that built it forgot the glue I spent ages getting it to fly twice now its in bits.
  17. The yellow and black biplane looks like a, Precedent Bi fly.
  18. Thanks Robert I did come across that one, also found this **LINK** which looks like the nose night take a bit more punishment. I could use the gear in another airframe type from ww1, I did see some nice kits but I can't remember the makers name
  19. It's not quite the same, early November bring and buy is getting closer I will take my vernier guage along to double check.
  20. Does anyone know of any good replacement kits as this one of mine is getting tatty ? I did come across The MT Shop while I was googling but are there any more about.
