  1. Argos or Screwfix catalogue, mix epoxy throw page away
  2. it sounds o.k Paul all I can suggest is set main needle first, then adjust slow running needle 1/8 at a time if revs drop at tickover when you remove glow, it means slow running is rich (turn needle in) also is your fuel o.k.? is possible to buy a bad gallon I've never had to use an onboard glow yet is your tank vibrating a lot, if so dampen it with foam
  3. after a gallon of fuel it should be o.k. I use 5 or 10 bekra but yours should be fine O.S f plugs are what I use is your tank above carb level (centre of tank inline with carb)
  4. what w/span and weight Jeff like colour scheme, stands out in any sky
  5. dry n calm in Doncaster, nights drawing out. I can live with the cold it's dark nights that depress me test flew a seagull Yak that had been rebuilt. all he had was wings and tailplane. he built a new fuzz, after taking measurements from a pile of confetti. took 1 click of aileron to trim it.
  6. pilot always bails out Lee, did it on all the 54's at our club absolutely agree with you cracking models, virtually impossible to stall flew mine on 120 4 stroke, lands like a trainer
  7. thanks lads i'll give it a go on a 8x6 see how it go's only way to learn is get stuck in, at the price it's not worth returning. at worst i'll have a motor for sumat else. shall be yellow with black bands underneath, with state of our field of late a few lecky's is a good move. Ken a man's got to do what a man's got to do. ok pilgrim John Wayne... Pilgrim dept.
  8. thanks fella's shall give it a try, I still think it's witchcraft though
  9. I did Colin it was 1100kv from Ken just don't know what the extra 100kv means, only cheap so is no big problem. I fly them noisy messy things usually

  12. hello all bit of advice please, I;ve bought turnigy d2830/11 1000kv motor, 30 amp esc is this o.k., if so what size props needed cheers john
  13. soz nasher also check pushrods line up nicely with servo's if they are a bit out give em a tweak
  14. touch top of servo's pushrods its usually a bit of pressure from linkage
  15. I think its a good thing, pay tax, insurance, mot you'll be o.k some have abused it for years, time it was sorted will be some errors, but its better than present system. we don't let folk fly at clubs without paying fee's and insurance drivers without tax n insurance deserve to lose the car
  16. Sarah why not use that spare fuzz side to perfect your technique with tissue n dope also you could claim you built it on purpose
  17. it make's me smile just looking at it never heard of peanut scale before, the seat is very good Sarah are you putting a pilot in? or just going to glue a peanut on

  20. Posted by john melia 1 on 08/01/2014 10:49:11: thanks rich , after reading through some of the posts I have mixed feelings about this sbach at the moment , especially after that guy stripping all the covering off to find weak dodgy joints . then on the other hand theres that vid showing the sbach pulling out of a full throttle dive with full elevator and only the wing tube bending , showing that the joints and glueing must have been ok to survive that . whats your thought rich Edited By john melia 1 on 08/01/2014 10:50:35 few lads at our club have H.K. one with DLE 30 in it flys' great you'll love it
