Looking for a Flair SE5a Kit
Rob Fairweather 1 replied to Daniel Cardona's topic in Traditional kits
Posted by Maurice Dyer on 23/10/2020 18:54:34: I don't want to rub it in, but being an Flair SE nerd, I have two kits: complete with wheels, guns etc. I have one flying (O.S 52) flying and im building an electric one now. You can get a set of ribs and plywood parts from fleabay. And if you want the plan I will send you one. The rest (apart from cabanes) is cut balsa/ pky. Cheers Maury And I've got a set of cabanes/ undercarriage wires and ABS mouldings sat here brand new. And the decal set Edited By Rob Fairweather 1 on 24/10/2020 11:13:38 -
Looking for a Flair SE5a Kit
Rob Fairweather 1 replied to Daniel Cardona's topic in Traditional kits
I wish I'd seen this post earlier, on Monday I put a set of plans , along with lots of other bits and pieces, in for recycling. I do however have the nose moulding, cabanes, uc wires etc and the decal set all pristine. -

Sorry to hijack here my DW Astro Junior build post seemed to fall on deaf ears as well Jeffrey, so I stopped posting . We must share an aftershave. -

Flair Puppeteer record price
Rob Fairweather 1 replied to Rob Fairweather 1's topic in eBay Watchers
Yes eBay. Just remember you give a percentage to them after the sale, and a further percentage to PayPal if your buyer uses it to pay. -
Well, this one comes in the unbelievable category. Its a nice flyer normally, even painted up as a pseudo German one. But £950 ?????????? this particular seller always overprices his items, but this is a record even for him !
-
Denis, sorry I should have elaborated. as the seller states, £55 is his price for delivery with the Spanish system he has chosen, Delivery to U.K. will be more. Depending on the final bid price, it could all get a bit pricey with the, as yet unknown, carriage to U.K. If you love the Flair build ( I do) and the Hannibal ( love the Magnatilla, lacking the space for a Hannibal) I guess this is possibly the rare time it will be available . . . . At a price as an aside . . . .anyone with an untouched Magnatilla kit, I'm prepared to sell a kidney ! Edited By Rob Fairweather 1 on 28/04/2020 08:43:46

Now relisted with horrendous postal charge !

Screwfix plastic dust sheet. Plenty in one pack to last years, cheap too -

Thixofix used to be my choice for fuselage laminating Jeffrey, but I've not seen it in a while. On the Flair SE5a I've just started, deluxe materials Aliphatic Resin was used, with weights all over and left all night to dry. It worked and straightened the liteply. They were 18 inches long. -
Well found Doc. . . . . . It would be kind to buy that Irvine just to put it out of its misery.
