I have serious shed envy.....................

Another crackpot drone idea or a good idea
Dave Hopkin replied to Martin Whybrow's topic in Multi-Rotor
I wonder how many UFO scares they would trigger...... -
I have "Baby Sat" one of our more senior members while he flew his Timber (and had a few minutes time on it myself) - takes off almost immediately, plenty of power, pretty responsive on full rates, docile as a trainer on low rates handles the wind pretty well

Prop vibrating back and forth is a classic indication of a poor / missing connection on one of the three wires between ESC and motor - unplug each one check both the male and female connectors for mechanical integrity then plug back fully, do one at a time so your dont reverse rotation direction

hobbyking - big changes
Dave Hopkin replied to rcaddict's topic in R/C Retailers / Distributors / Manufacturers
I ordered a few bits the other day, logged in ok placed the order it sourced them all from the UK Warehouse and they were delivered pretty speedily, so it perhaps isnt as bad a it would seem -
Thats what it was originally developed for! Something to seal a wound quickly and easily on the battlefield, crucial in areas like Vietnam where it was first used to prevent infection getting into the wound as it will do incredibly quickly in tropical temperatures Acetone/Nail Varnish remover to soften it when you want to get it off your fingers.....

You may well need to de-grease the surface to remove the mould release agent before painting - hot water with some washing up liquid in it sponged on and dried off Then Acrylics or house hold emulsion (B&Q) tester pots and a cheap source in any colour you want and yes they will mix specific colours - mind you it does tend to confuse them when you ask for camo colours!

Actually the assertion that "the polls were wrong for the referendum" isn't actually supported by the facts (as opposed to popular mythology) The BBC "Poll of Polls" shows that 3 out of 4 polls predicted a narrow leave win on June 22nd and 3 out of 5 predicted correctly on May 22/23 **LINK**

In one way the US polls were right! More people voted for Clinton than they did for Trump (59,583,144 v 59,344,988) but the winner isn't decided on number of votes, but is an electoral collage where the states population is of crucial importance (like California, Florida, Texas etc)

Noticed the distinct lack of Media Hysteria over these deadly drones recently, seems to have gone all quiet since Brexit took over the headlines...................

Simon C's Depron Ballerina
Dave Hopkin replied to Simon Chaddock's topic in The 2016 Ballerina Mass Build
Whilst I fully expect Simon to prove me wrong (his workmanship usually does!), I look at those acetate lugs and think "they are going to be taking most of the twisting force from the U/C wont they just tear straight out?" -
Posted by gangster on 05/11/2016 13:37:27: One thing I would also add is don't put your used lipo on charge immediately. Let it cool for a few minutes first. True but yesterday I was in no rush to get them on the charger, I was appreciating using them as hand warmers! The converse of that is put your second LiPo in your pocket to warm it up before flying on it

**LINK** Mine arrived today, initial reaction mostly good with a few reservations Wings dont seem to be detachable with any degree of ease Retracts looks a tad flimsy Other than that looks good, mind you I am not allowed to assemble it till various non flying related jobs are done, says SHMBO....... Anyone got any experience of this one.... any nasties lurking? Anyo
