  1. Hi guys there are some great pics of the sprung undercarrage on the stampe 1/4 scale could anyone who has made,one of these let me know the size of the tubes used as i would to make one for my model which i am building from an old precedent kit ugh.thanks very much.
  2. i have also suffered the asp91 fs crankpin falure along with a weston 52 2 stroke both happend last year. as far has i can remember i have not had any engines fail in the 60 years of model flying.neither engine had been flooded when being started ,both engines fitted with the correct size props and both being run on ivine 10nitro fuel.when it comes to model aircraft engines i guess fings are not wot they use,t to be.
  3. I have 60ins wingspan das ugly stick built from an old jenson kits plan it flies very well on a 1980s hp61 so i would think a modern irvine53 would power it nicely.
  4. had broken crankpin on my asp 91 fourstroke now rebuilt with new crank not run the engine yet but it seems to turn over ok. so do i run it or put it on ebay? brian
  5. I am building precedent stampe biplane and am looking to fit a sprung undercarrage. has anyone know of a drawing to make one. I do have some metal working equipment.If my memory is correct there was an article in RCM&E some time ago on this subject but i do not know which month/year. Any help would be greatfully received.

  8. i have some jr ds8715 servos. has anyone used these with a 6.7 volt li-fe battery.these servos are rated at nominal 4.8 volts the jr 591 servos are also rated at 4.8 volts and we have one club member using 2cell li-fe batteries with no problems.any comments please
