  1. They've answered this question over on the RC Groups forum
  2. Great looking build, I like the underneath cheater hole.and very tidy wiring job. I'm just installing my servos now and am shortening the wire leads to keep it neat inside my Sabre Jet. I'll be very interested in your flying report.
  3. I would think they would both be ± elevator ±8 aileron ±4 Maybe Tony will clear this up for us.
  4. Very interesting project - how did you make the snake pathways through the fuse?
  5. Do you intend to add a propulltion system as well as making the control surfaces controllable?  Similar to your LIDIXL? Edited By Steven Shaw on 23/12/2018 17:35:00
  6. Yes - I enjoyed watching the Detectorists as both Diana Rigg and her daughter were in it.
  7. I’ve finished the main fuselage except for cutting out the hatch. I’ve also finished the tail feathers. I had to make one of the elevators over again after one of the slits for the hinges broke through. I have a hard time putting hinges into 1/8th. I’ve also shaped the main wing and am fitting hinges to it now. I followed the plans for everything and the only minor discrepancy I found so far was the 2 holes in Former 8 aren’t required when inserting the control cables. I’m very happy with the plans and will make the MIG also.
  8. I've also been following them for a while now, a lot of fun.
  9. Yes - I've been looking into that also.  Just dont want to weaken the wing joint too much. Edited By Steven Shaw on 05/12/2018 16:40:53
  10. Posted by Steve Balaam on 02/12/2018 14:12:06: The TN Sabre is next on my building list. There has been a lot of discussion about getting sufficient air in to the fan, I'm going to use Naca ducts on mine, what are the tell tale signs on the ground that the edf is not getting sufficient air and is being choked ? I picked up an "Aeroplane Illistrated" book on the F-86 and found apicture of a F-86C with NACA ducts. It may make mounting the elevator servos a bit more fiddley. 11. Any more progress on this project Gary, very interesting and helpul thread.
  12. To highlight an area in Acrobat use the "Take anapshot" function from the "Edit" dropdown.
  13. The fall special just arrived in our shops [Canada} Thursday last week.
  14. I am quite far along with my Sabre build with a FMS unit epoxied in [couldn’t buy the AEO unit at the time], and I'm assuming that it will require a larger airflow than the AEO. I’ll make larger side cheater holes by cutting a 25 high by 80 long opening into each side and build a duct over them. I may also replace the block under the wing with a forward facing inlet scoop similar to the P51 or F-16. It’ll be quite the hybrid F-86.
  15. Posted by Geoff Sleath on 06/11/2018 23:22:32: Why does a throttle disable switch take up a channel? Can't it be programmed to disable the existing throttle channel as I've done on both my Multiplex 3030 and Frsky transmitters? Just asking. I know almost nothing about Spektrum details. Geoff Geoff - yes you are right, it is just a switch [lever] that I have used up for the throttle cutoff. I am still okay for channels which means I am good for flaps and retracts on this model without replacing my Tx. Sorry for the confusion.
