  1. That sounds about right. Flat sheet wings always tend to have next to no bad habits in a stall. Just look at shockies and they behave well, I have about 5 prifile foamy jets at the min and none of them have any vices in a stall. Its a cool looking plane, any chance of a plan? Mr Ashby might be able to squieze it in befor the end of the year!
  2. All sound ideas. I love depron models at the moment (have 7 on the go).     Here are a couple of other ideas:- Wrap your Rx in foil Put ferite rings or clips over the servo leads   Have used all of these methods on the same elecy model while i was on 35meg and it  work well, but since i swaped to 2.4 I've had had no probs.
  3. Let me clarify its the bits with the blue bars down the side that i find hard on the eyes. the new format is ok, ie the new counter point lay is goodits just the blue bars. The rest seems fine it just with the blue bars I seem to remember a little while ago there was a bit on the forum were people were complaining about text on a coloured background. Enough about the blue bars. Good mag ,just one small prob. Its not long enough !!!!
  4. Just got mine!  Looks like another great mag, good articles as always.   BUT I for one am not in favor of the new look to the, Starting piont (p8) counter point (p12) and letters page (p50).  I know thing need to change and evolve but it just seems hard on the eyes. the other changes all look good but these 3 just look wrong some how, maybe I'm alone in this view and maybe I'll get use to it but you did ask for our oppinions on the changes.   This is not ment as a complaint just a opinion but as stated the mag looks good. have started with the fixing of ARTF's. I'm off the rest of the week so might need to do this after flying in this lovely weather were having and the inevitable slightly heaver than needed landings! LOL Edited By Dave Towell on 01/07/2009 14:15:40
  5. looks great keep us posted on the flying results. what about late in the evening always sems to calm down a bit?
  6. What totaly fantastic service!      I had to return my Spectrum DX7 after a minor fault occured. I sent it on saturday morning from my local post office. I then phoned them on monday to ensure that they had recived it ok and add some info that I'd forgoten to mention in the letter I had sent with it.   It is now 10:30AM on the Tuesday and I have just had a nice FEDEX man return my  fixed DX7! Talk about service, a letter explaning everything that had happened.      What more could you ask for polite, friendly and curtiouse staff, and an amazingly quick service, other retailers should certanly take note. I for one will have no quaums about buying there products in future as I now the after sales service is second to none! Edited By Dave Towell on 09/06/2009 11:08:04
  7. Maybe they should re-name it the "Parkzone UNUBTANIUM SU-29" hope fully they will be more readably avalible by the time I get one for the next indoor season. When someone does get one could they report back on what its like? be good to have an honest review of someone who owns one and flown one.   NOT saying that RCM&E dont do honest reviews but you know what i mean.
  8. Probably get them at the same place you can get....... hens teeth, tartan paint....... been trying for a couple of months myself but no luck. If you do find one let us all know almost given up. been trying to get one befor our last indoor meet on saturday but no chance now.
  9. Cost is the issue here, like Timbo said you are going to need a REALLY meaty charger, the packs are a bit on the pricey side, and the life/cycle issue needs verifying. I think i'll wait a while to see peoples feed back first.
  10. I agree there were big Q's. glad i could use the one on the flight line! LOL
  11. That must mean   AR = Air Radio then.   Learn something new every day.
  12. Cars get airborn when they go over a jump and then hit the ground, just like a lot of my planes they get airborn then they HIT THE GROUND!!!!
  13. The 3" of pitch is  for every 1 complete revelution of the propeler it will move 3" forward in theory. So in theory a 12x5 will have a 12" diamiter and will move forward 5" for every complete rotation.   This is the theory but in practice it never is quite that simple with the wieght of the plane, wind, speed of the motor, flying or stationary......etc..etc...etc...   This is how I've had it explaned to me, some one please correct me if I'm wrong.
  14. I ran a 5x5 on a 3s lipo and a 18amp ESC for a year and a half on a Green air designs D-tyke pusher, befor pilot error took its toll (MAY SHE R.I.P. )  and I never had a problem with over heaing of the motor or ESC or anything else for that matter. Now deciding what to put the set up in as a replacement.
  15. yes please !!!! oh sorry thought it was up for grabs as this months prize draw!! LOL Really impresive can't wait to see it at one of this years shows. Well done Tony
  16. Did you ever get it to fly? Found the plans the other day and am toying with the idea. like simple ideas might try make it out of correx
  17. Beast tool in the world has to be my.................little flexable  friend! It allows me to get pritty much what i need to fix any prob. and is accsepted in hundreds of shops.
  18. how far do you have to keep the can away to let the propelant disperse? might have to do some experiments over the next few days.
  19.    Was going to sugest the same thing. Used this on my Travel Air a few years ago and it worked fine. The fatal crash was pilot error NOT elevator failure. Got he idea from the westfield Hawk free plan in RCM&E a few years ago thats whats on the plan.   Shaun hows the turbine F-16 going?
  20. When you sprayed yours FD did you not have a problem with the aerosol melting the foam??  Always thought that you had to use foam safe spays? or have I been missing a trick?
  21. Built a few of the RCPowers stuff  so far and they fly GREAT built the extra (my first foamy) about a year ago and its still going, and the profile mig29. the vetored thrust thingy is bazzare to say the least but a great laugh no the less and am planing to build the F-117 when i can find a cheap source of black/grey depron.
  22. Try www.e-magnetsuk.com and there neodyium magnets. They are lose magnets and not in a bracket but work really well.
  23. Sorry guys weather here (suffolk) been good. I've been flying fri, sat, sun, and monday! with no crashes! Now grounded (by she who must be obayed) till I've finshed................ the garden, the decorating, cleaned the cars..etc..etc...etc...etc....... basical Xmas 2012   OH and far far to many eggs!!!!!!!!!
