  1. Have a Futaba 10J Transmitter and have always used the Futaba R3008SB receivers in my models .I am about to change 3 models over from Spektrum to the Futaba 10 J .So I need 3 Futaba receivers to do this Was going to buy 3 R3008SB but I do not use telemetry so was thinking of getting 3 R2008 receivers. Anyone tell what is the difference between the 3008 and the 2008 .I do not use telemetry It is just that the 2008 are a bit cheaper I
  2. I Have a DX 6 with a Spektrum lithium rechargeable battery but when I charge it up fully and leave it for a week .When I turn it on even though I have not used it the battery is flat .This does not happen with my DX8 .Is this normal for a DX6 or do I need to replace the lithium battery
  3. With ref my last thread about my lipo not charging right .My charger is a bit old and I think that is where my problem is .So going in to treat myself to a decent charger .I do not mind splashing out if the charger is a decent one So what do people out there recomend is the best lipo charger out there ?
  4. Thanks everyone .Did check the balance lead jiggle it about and Bingo ,problem solved 👍
  5. Have a 6 s 4000 lipo and the charge gets to 99% but one cell is 4.18 and the other cells are between 4.19 and 4.2 The charger does not show fully charged but carry on charging but the charge rate is 0.0.What is going on ?
  6. Again that is my point .The BMFA can not afford to run Buckminster just for a chosen few while the rest have to pay for it
  7. Has not changed my view .That tells me the BMFA can not afford Buckminster if they keep running at a loss.Since the BMFA took on Buckminster our subs have almost doubled .Buckminster is not a lot of use if you live on Scotland or the West Country !!!!!..I am not bothered about if the flying club will accept the LMA insurance or not .Enough us enough .The BMFA are pricing themselves out of the market
  8. If you are happy with that .Great .Me I will be moving over to the LMA for 2024 .So we are both happy 👍
  9. On top of saving £12 I would get cheaper tickets to the LMA Shows A much better deal then what the BMFA are offering
  10. OK .Think then I would be better off joining the LMA .By doing that I would have the same insurance cover etc and would be £12 better off
  11. It is still 12% and the BMFA is not what it use to be .I can get insurance the same cover has the BMFA at almost halve the price of the BMFA
  12. Going to start to wonder about getting my insurance somewhere else now and dumping the BMFA .Fed up paying for Buckminster and getting nothing in return
  13. So is that a 12% increase in next year's subs Begining to wonder about Buckminster now .It seems since the BMFA brought Buckminster our subs have just gone up and up !!!!!
  14. Anyone know why the BMFA are not releasing what next year's subs are going to be ?
  15. Am I just unlucky or is the parcel couriers just crap .I have mail order on two different occasions and from different Model Shop .Both order never turned up..On the first mail order the model shop was good about it and refunded me in full no problem .The second Model shop (who is a well recognised shop.) Was totally rude and un helpfull Told me he had posted it and there was nothing he could or would do about it .Told me to ring Parcel Force .They were the couriers and it was down to Parcel Force not him I told him he had not provided any tracking details ,so it was pointless ringing Parcel Force if I had no tracking details. He was not interested and repeated it was Parcel Force's problem not his .How rude. Any how I contacted PayPal and they have taken over .This order was for £540 .Moral of this story is I will.now not mail order anymore but travel a round trip of 100 miles to King's Lyn Models.to buy all my modelling stuff King's Lynn model have never let me down and that way I will not have to go through this again
  16. It turns out .The factory that produced the Wots model shut down in the covid and never re opened and Ripmax has not found any other factory to carry on producing the Wots model .So I think we have seen the last of the ARTF Wot 4,Acro Wot and the Wots Wot ☹️ Sad to lose such good models
  17. I only wish I could build like that. That looks great 👍 I envy you ,my building skills are at best crap ☹️
  18. Just check Wheelspin Model and like every other model shop it is showing "Out of Stock "
  19. Not seen the Acro Wot XL now for sale for over a year now .Anyone know if Ripmax has discontinued this model It looks to me like the Ripmax ARTF Wot series of model has vanished And the only way to buy a Wot model is like the old times ,direct from Chris Foss but he does not do the Acro Wot XL
  20. I am going to put a Satio 120 four stroke in mine .I am sure it will be more then enough power
  21. Would the Laser 180 be OK in the Seagull Neiuport or will it be to big and heavy for the Seagull Neiuport ???
  22. Just come back from Buckminster Really enjoyed the day .After watching these lovely models I really fancy the Seagull Neiuport .My question is would the Laser 180 be a suitable engine for this model or would it be to big and to heavy for this model
  23. Finally made contact with Ripmax Panic over .They can repair it .So sending it off to day
