  1. Hello David. Thanks fo that, Could you please let me know how to wire it as it states in the manual it needs 6 Channels so I'm a bit lost. Bill
  2. I am building a dream flight Libelle and want to know which RX to use with my futaba 6EX-2.4GHz as there is very little space it has to be as small as possible I am new to gliding. I live in southern Ireland on the south coast and there are some lovely low cliffs thet the seagulls love to soar above. beautiful morning here today SW breeze many thanks Rowdy
  3. Thanks to you both Frank and Chrisie,I am all up and running, not flying we have fierce southerly winds at present and the lounge is not quite big enough.lets hope its nice and still in the morning and I can have a play.   Best wishes,   Bill.   PS I also have a premier RC Kite, but unfortunatly I can only get that to fly for about 5 mins, the other drawback is that when the motor cuts out it drifts with the wind. as it steers with the pull from the prop.
  4. Help PLEASE I have just purchased a minium autokite and cannot get it to bind to the transmitter,I have followed all the instructions as instructed,I am using the transmitter i had for another minium and wondered if I had to somehow clear that before it would connect to the kite, I get the Bleeping when switch transmitter on but when I plug in the battery to the kite I just get a continuous humming and the red lite flashes but no bleeps. Any help would be much appreciated. Bill
  5. I have just bought  the A380 Airbus, not too bad with the build, but I am now struggeling with the wireing, I am still on 35MHz  6EXP Controller, I am afraid the instructions say nothing about the wireing and this is my first Multi EDEF, any help would be much appreciated Many thanks Bill
  6. Thanks Guys for the info' The premier RC Canard.is very Large but performs well in light winds rather  expensive though, |I very much like the way the power unit is situated out of harms way. The SB 42 looks to be great fun David especially  on these dark winter evenings when the air is still and crispy. I might have a word with Mother Christmas !! Bill
  7. I flew one of these for my cousin at Sandylands,Mablethorpe, last weekend for the first time and had great fun with it. Please does anyone know if they are are a vailable in the UK?   Bill
  8. Hi Glen. Was wondering if you had got any further  with plans for plans for 48in Vulcan, as mentioned at the end of last year. I hear things are not looking good for 558 can we rustle up 500,000 people for a £1 at football matches this weekend. Not good flying weather at the moment in Southern Ireland. I am now going to watch your video. Bill.
  9. I could have sworn I had some bookmarks but all I get is a blank page. Must be my age, its such a job for us oldies to keep up with all this progress. Roll on spring lets get flying.Nothing but storms and tempestsat the moment.
  10. Glenn, Did I see that horrible four letter word (work) am pleased to say I no longer "work" everything I do now is PLAY    I like many others gave approx 50 + years to that task. pity we couldnt all retire while this old Chassis of ours was not .worn out. DONT WORRY BE HAPPY thats my motto. I read a saying once that said : "Old boys with toys never grow old" Love life its the only one you have. Happy Christmas to all Flyboys everywhere, Keep the VULCAN Flying.
  11. Hi Glenn. Hope all is well with you, have you managed to get any further with plans for a smaller model yet? I have bought myself a Horizon Hobby F-27 Stryker that looks to be about the closest shape I can get to the Vulcan at the moment am well pleased with it and feel that if I can fly that ,then if I can get a vulcan I should be able to manage that. as well. I managed to get a fly in this afternoon Lovely sunny day here in southern Ireland and the wind dropped at about 3.30 so got 2 batteries worth out of the F -27, I think i`m getting better no damage Ha ! Ha! Bill
  12. Jacqui and I have signed the petition.Hope to be at Duxford next July for Flying Legends. Perhaps if the worst comes and 558 can`t make it, what about you Glenn am sure you could stand in and do a brilliant job.. Now going to watch your video`s Glenn. .
  13. Hi Sloper,  Many thanks for that, I have just been on the phone to Alan and hopefully a Mk3  46" Wildthing will be winging its way over the water to Whiting bay  Southern Ireland  tomorrow. Will clear the workbench tomorrow . Any tips for flying will be greatly appreciated,  I am new to this Game." What no engine"
  14. Hi Timbo, Just found the Wildthing,am afraid I must have one ,just right for me to learn with on the cliffs around Whiting Bay, Where can I get it from PLEASE Plenty of wind here, and its not the sprouts. Bill.
  15. Hi Keat, When I started trying to fly RC about 10 years ago.I had a Multiplex Pico Cub, as I lived in the sticks and my nearest club was a 50 mile round trip  I thought I will teach myself. 1 plane one field one plastic bag for about 3 years eventually the cub got too heavy.but I never gave up.my next plane was a GWS Tiger moth the little one with Yogie bear as pilot,he is quite good now, but flying No 3 quite well I am told. If you dont at first succeed try try and try again, I am pleased to say I still get a BIG  BUZZ when I come from a good flying session, if I have a mishap its most likely Yogie had one to many last night, but never  mind I will fix it for him. I am now living in the south of Ireland so am still far from a club but have a fabulous beach nearby that is my flying field and when weather permits you will find me having fun. Its like a Drug, I know I`m HOOKED. Keep Happy Bill
  16. Hi Glenn, What can I say a beautiful aeroplane expertly flown as it should be nice and slowly, great video. Please may I have the plans for the smaller one? Thanks for sharing it with us all. Bill
  17. Hi Glenn, Just seen the video, what a beautuful sight I think everyone will want one, Seems very stable, very well done indeed you must be very HAPPY   . Will see if I can put it onto DVD and put it on my TV. Best wishes. Rowdy.
  18. Well done glenn what a brilliant model looks just like the real 558,was hoping to see her (558 ) at Duxford last sunday weather was rotten anyway so she wouldnt have been able to fly Looking forward to seeing video. Weather looks set fair here in southern Ireland tomorrow so hope to get some airtime on whiting bay beach, (Yogi up in Tiggy moth) would be nice .
  19. Could well be buzzing around Whiting bay (Southern Ireland) on a sunny Autumn evening,ha Ha  stair rods and gales again today.
  20. Am afraid my poor little tiggy is getting tired. There are not many over here in southern Ireland by the sea.Checked out the beach this morning and the stones are all gone. Fingers crossed. Bill
  21. The only wobble I get from my flycamone on my gws tiger moth is the tossing about in the wind, apart from that I think its pretty vibration free. It is fitted on top of the top wing as per wing walker pattern.I find this a very good way to get video's, as long as the camera is placed at the correct C of G the plane still flys very well. I have made a small balsa wood frame and taped it in the upright position in the centre of the wing, with a slight tilt forward and it still misses the prop field of vision, Unfortunately still lots of wind and rain so no flying as yet.
  22. i'm back,Hopefully this will work for video:-www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwkgA2jOT3 Just checked the link and it seems to work ok. Hope you like as its my first effort. Bill.
  23. Hi All, Just got my FCO2 this week and am just about to bin it.I know i'm an (old fossel and ancient relic according to my children). I can't get it to work YET,put it on to charge for 3 hrs as requested swithed on as per FCO (Flycamone). It appears it should not be switched on, but why no charge light? I am now charging again, I hope. But with all the trouble people are having I am by no means the only one.pity really could be a good piece of kit if sorted before production. I think a lot of us are being ripped off. I have a video on you tube  (Flycamone) edited and posted by my step son,  will try and find the link so you can have a look Bill.
  24. Hi all, had a couple of good fly days this week only trouble is the rough weather of late has covered my lovely beach with stones, so no flights for gemini. GWS Tiger moth takes off in about 6ft so I could find that much clear sand and almost spot lands with a soft breeze, I also have a Graupner Elektro UHU (Big Tipsy) pusher, that dosn't mind a few stones, I like the centre wheel in fuselage, good for touch and goes when beach allows. I still havn't managed to try my Jets yet, Fields far too wet must be .patient and wait for spring I am awaiting arrival of my Flycamone 2 next week so hope to have some video's of Whiting Bay.I can share with you all. Bill
