  1. Hi,stuey,to support the antennas i fix a cocktail stick to the rx and use small rubber o rings to secure the antenna,s to them, using Timbo,s mods also ,it solves all my probs ,aircraft and heli,s. ps ,the destruction book recomends that they are secured  anyway. good flying, regards ,roy.

  9. born in sight of the old pendeford airfield in Wolverhampton, it seemed a natural thing to do ie KK 3/6d kits at junior school age, then as a teenager joined the atc(2078 sqdn) ooer! fancy remembering that and i forget what i had for brekky) wanted to fly, found out that i didn,t have much of a head for heights! so stuck to models and enjoyed it ever since. its bostin aye it!!!   Roy.
  10. Hi steve, just a thought but have you looked at the L.M.A. genesis it should be just the job for rough strip operations -----build is conventional, plan and laser cut parts etc power weight ratio should be very good  vfm imo   worth a checkout? don,t shoot the oap i,me doing my best!! regards Roy

  12. Hi guys, sorry to bring it up but being a retired motor engineer i can remember the days when vehicles had side and flasher lamp connections exposed to all sorts of weather, although they were covered by a rubber boot, the earth wire used to suffer from bws, also trailer sockets were particularly vulnerable. It was usually only the ground wire that was affected.imo the common denominator seems to be moisture,so  whatever the type of cells, keep them dry and check regularly, and don,t put your tranny on the grass, use a mat! regards, roy. ps. does anyone know the chemical composition of the corroded copper /green verdigris(bws)? pps.just a thought, on the vehicles bws happened on both pos and neg earth types     sorry for this, iawnski, don,t panic, roy. gotta go ,verbal diarrohia attack etc
