  1. The 555 is coming along. Gordon may be open to offers!
  2. Hi all, I will be bring a few bits to sell this weekend if anyone is interested.
  3. Mark, Alpha Jets painted by Gordon Studley. One of the models is his. Hoping to test fly them tomorrow on the Orme!
  4. I couldn't add the photo from my phone last night!
  5. I hope everyone manages to find the space to bring their little Alpha Jets. I wonder how many we can get together at the same time.Edited By Martin Gay on 05/10/2017 23:25:58
  6. How about taking them to your local fire station. At the very least, they should be able to point you in the right direction.

    SLOUGH RC

I visited their shop on Ipswich Road last week
  8. Hi Paul, I can't help you with a T6EXAP transmitter. However, if you have no luck with other forum members, I do have an old JR2610 transmitter that you might be able to rob a pot from. Martin.
  9. I've just bought the August edition of RC Model World. There is a small piece on page eight that says the MyHobbyStore website is now being directed to Trapletshop.com This could be why the Traplet website is closed. Martin. Edited By Martin Gay on 20/07/2017 12:08:57
  10. Thanks Phil, I am back in the UK on Saturday 13th May, so will be sure to pick up a copy of the magazine. Martin.
  11. Hi All, I haven't seen many photos from the first PSSA meet on the Orme, last month. Nothing on the PSSA website either! Have I missed the link?
  12. I will start a new thread for the M55 when I start construction.
  13. Off topic, I know but here is the original model made in 2010. Pilot figure is way too big, and this model suffered from aileron flutter due to a mistake in the section when I cut the wing cores.
  14. A friend, and I also have this plan. Our aim is to build the U2 to 1:12 scale which is 18% smaller than the plan size. The reason for this is that I am planning a Russian M55 to the same scale (123 inch span). They should look good in the air together, hopefully at one of the later PSSA meets in 2017. Pilot figures for them both have been made, at 1:12 scale, by Real Model Pilots, so when you come to do your cockpit Chris they should be able to do one to 1:8 scale for you!   Edited By Martin Gay on 13/12/2016 20:48:51 Edited By Martin Gay on 13/12/2016 21:00:18 Edited By Martin Gay on 13/12/2016 21:00:48 Edited By Martin Gay on 13/12/2016 21:02:06
  15. The plan is for the early version of the U2 which is about 24m span, not the later version at 31m span. This makes the plan about 1:8 scale. Martin.
  16. Andy, It didn't get the heave-ho as the chicken was also holding the transmitter. The model has yet to test flown! We found out the following day that the small fans would not have been enough to get it back. The Lipos were not up to the task of providing the 40A needed by the pair of fans. They only produced 50W total. A better battery, which could keep up, produced over 400W of initial power. It will fly soon.   Martin. Edited By Martin Gay on 12/10/2016 11:46:37
  17. KiwiKid, It was all built up from the plan by Chris Golds: **LINK** There was an article about the one Chris built it in the January 2011 issue of Quiet and Electric Flight magazine. Martin.
  18. KiwiKid, The Arado 555 was built by a friend of mine, he is having a few issues with his internet connection at the moment but will post more information when it is sorted. What do what to know? Martin.
  19. I only managed to attend on the Saturday and didn't get to maiden my SU27. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the day and it was great to spend time with like minded people. There were some fantastic models on the hill, the highlight of the day for me was seeing two Vulcans flying in tight formation. Thanks to all who attended, and to Phil for his organisation I will definitely be coming again. I managed to fly the SU27 on Moel Famau on the Sunday before travelling home in the early afternoon. Two short flights with a little bit of easily repaired damage after landing. I was advised that the model needed a good blow to fly and it does; 20mph minimum! Martin.
