Pics of my servo installation as I wanted to use cables rather than pushrods for the tail. I also used SBUS for the aileron servos using the struts as connections to the wing. You can see one connection point soldered to a nut on the side of the fuse Edited By Ted Khinsoe on 10/10/2020 15:43:37

Hi Chris sorry for the late reply. The fuselage is covered in sig koverall wings solartex with light spray of white enamel to lighten an give it an uneven finish. Decals inkjet printed testors waterslide. Matt water based “urethane” over the top. ted Edited By Ted Khinsoe on 10/10/2020 15:09:59

Hello good to see a fellow colonial i built one a couple of years back. The covers supplied with the kit are very flimsy and I think would be a simple matter to make from ply and add vents from styrene or litho (aluminium cans are useful). I’d be happy to take measurements of mine if you wish. My Flair SE5a Maiden just before the field was closed down and had a few flights Sunday. Saito56 Futaba electronics and Oratex covering. -
No not yet. I bought it fitted to a Super Stearman ARF unflown. My thinking was to use Saito FG 30 I have in the Stearman and build a Cap232 to use the DLE. in that frame I would probably side mount it but not done any measurements to confirm. Still at dreaming stage!

Since returning to the hobby I’ve used Four stroke engines glow and petrol. Best noise ever. Just bought a model with a 2stroke petrol engine 30ccDLE I am planning to use it in a scale aerobat but don’t like the poor excuse for mufflers provided. Any recommendations please.

Just to follow up on my Enya53. I managed to move the ring over 1/3 circumference but the remainder was solid and the ring broke. I replaced it with a spare I had for an OS 56alpha (all dimensions were identical!) and it’s running well. Thanks for the suggestions.

Slightly off topic.... but can anyone confirm cg position and surface throws if different to the instructions. Just finished my glow version and the maiden was a bit twitchy with less than the listed throws and cg about 105mm from upper wing LE. thanks Ted

My 76” sig 1/6 Cub in Grasshopper mode flies very scale like on an Enya 46 four stoke.
