You can buy package deals on the seagul boomerang,an ideal first trainer,with ic,or electric motor,with a tx,just make sure the tx can buddy up with another club member,as the other members have already quoted on this thread,it takes time,rome wasnt built in a day,you are always learning,good luck james.
  2. times change,sign of the times,its an old traditional hobby in modern day times,so with electric getting more popular,and the eventual demise of glow,it will only get worse,well thats my opinion,i could be wrong,but only time will tell,happy landings everyone.

  8. I have gone all electric now,as a rule of thumb,is it the more cells the smaller the prop ,the less cells the bigger the prop,or do i have it wrong haha.
  9. T9 in bradford,west yorkshire supply the frsky horus,a popular supplier,very reputable.

Morning tony,i used to fly with spektrum,but had nothing but problems with it after six months or so,i now have the horus x10 frsky,excellent quality radio for £350,its a premium set,and looks simalar to the jeti,which is much dearer,but also a top brand,futaba is also popular,but spektrum does seem to have more faults reported than most of the other radios,luck of the draw i suppose.

  12. I think electric will take over the market,i am going all electric,for the cleanliness of it all,i spend more time cleaning down the planes afterwards lol,times change,and glow fuel is creeping up in price,i suppose petrol engines may still become popular,only time will tell.
  13. My question is,we are a transport economy,so how would the government replace the lost revenue due to less cars,vans etc !!

  17. I find the hobby so frustrating when i cant go flying,due to our poor climate,i get so bored,theres times i wish id of taken up fishing,lol,but if your hearts not in it,its no good,tbh,fishing would be boring lol.

  20. Hello gents,speaking of props,is it correct that ic props can be used on electric motors,but electric props cannot be used on ic engines?

  22. Hi Nigel,its a case of if you buy cheap,you buy twice,the rc6 are only approx 45 quid,the Q200 is 160,im hoping i dont have to but another one,id be happy if it lasts me five years,the rc6 lasted me just over two years.
  23. Problem solved,i have invested in a sky rc Q200 Quad charger,its the dogs,you know what.
