  1. Change the nose wheel single spring to a double spring, checking the balance. Then practice your landings
  2. I guess that’s an “ah oops, a bit too close then”. Over or under next time. Definitely not through. 😊 J
  3. I read the magazine test reports of the posh electric models where flight times of 4 minutes are made before landing with +20% battery remaining. 4 minutes I ask myself. I enjoy my 12 minutes to timer and know I still have two circuits to land. I also have the expensive puffed packs proving I haven't got my electric power right yet. I feel it is cheaper installing a bigger fuel tank than buying bigger batteries.
  4. Heavens, that goes back a bit.
  5. I read it as the battery lead is heavy duty silicone insulation with a Futaba / JR plug.
  6. If you left it alone, it would self discharge over a period. First time I've read about discharging a Ni-Mh for storage.
  7. I would suggest that a dremel workstation be added to the wish list. After a bit of fettling (it’s not perfect out of the box), I have found it to be a great help to hold the tool firmly when needing both hands to hold the work piece.
  8. Hi Richard Curious question, how will you manage the difference in engine weights? 46 2-stroke @ 270g and Laser @ 580g each would affect the design CG balance point. You may have to add some lead to the tail. J
  9. IMHO - a castoring tail wheel would be a pain as you wouldn't have direct control over the taxi out and back phases. Once the tail is up, it does not matter. Steerable is best, fixed is next.
  10. Hi Stevo After all that you still could not get what you wanted in the first place. IMHO, true customer service would be to tell you where your particular brand may be found. I read that smart sales practice worked perfectly. Different product sold and a satisfied customer J
  11. Flirting with the edge of the flight envelope (or hedge)
  12. Hi Robin, that seems a very James Bond-ish experiment LOL. J
  13. Hi Allan, Quite interested in your controller. How do you intend to power the processor as an airborne pack? I see the power is either 5V or 9V. Will a voltage regulator be required? The first of a 100 questions . John
  14. Hi Allan Those 1206 LEDs are really small. Are they bright enough for 60 sized models. John
  15. Hi RC Looks good. A few more pictures please. J
