  1. I've gone ahead and added a 6mm shim made of silicone sheet to the rear mounting plate on the undercarriage. It certainly seems to have raked things forward. Last time I tried to take off at my field it kept on nosing over, and I don't think we've ever managed to land without nosing over as it comes to a stop. Let's see how this works out...
  2. Thank you chaps, very informative. Paul offered to make me up a set, but given my spitfire wing is still in really tip top condition, I might just attempt to rake the U/C forward a bit with some shims of some kind. If/when the U/C plates break, I'll see about retrofitting.
  3. Is there any way of "fixing" the original built up wing to help prevent nose-overs? My spitfire really has that tendency and I would love to make it a bit friendlier for taxiing and take-off!
  4. I've not been following along too closely, I didn't realise that Richard would be offering motors too. I'll try to get back up to date! In the meantime my P51-D is progressing ok, only 4 years later than most!!
  5. Reason I asked is that I saw this bargain, but the KV is definitely going to be a bit high: https://www.3dxr.co.uk/multirotor-c3/multirotor-motors-c35/3dxr-sunnysky-x2820-kv1100-pair-p3427 £21 for a pair of 3542 sized motors seems outstanding.
  6. Hey guys! Long time no speak etc... What size and kv will the mossie motors be ideally?
  7. Any of those the latest version, or all the v1?
  8. Is this a plastic model? Looks incredible!
  9. Yep, I'm gonna start mine - next week. Trouble is I am running out of space to store planes. I have some crash damaged ones which if I was more hard nosed, I'd sacrifice, but I know with a little bit of TLC I can get them back to their former glory!
  10. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61552850339024 he's very active on his facebook page.
  11. I bought a P40 Canopy from planesrevived and had a good chat with the bloke who seems to be putting extraordinary efforts into creating perfect copies of the topflite kits. I am confident you'd be 100% happy with any purchase from him. Cheers Dave
  12. I toyed with the idea of doing the P51 from Top Gun: Maverick...
