  1. Built some years ago from the D&L Designs kit but never flown. Needs a 120fs engine (optional but not fitted) and some tlc to get to flying condition. Has all servos, fibreglass cowl, steerable sprung tailwheel , pull pull rudder. Fixed undercarriage. 67.5inch one piece veneered foam wing. Covered in fuel proofed Solartex. Nice project for a scale pattern aerobat. £125 airframe and servos only for quick sale. Or £220 with as new SC 120fs. Email for pictures.
  2. Plan built with RCV engine. 2m wingspan. Pictures on request

    Zenoah G62

Zenoah G62 with electronic ignition and Toni Clark silencer and inlet bend. Excellent condition. £180 collection or pay courier
  4. As per title. The original blue model. Has been flown several times but very well maintained so in nice condition. Superb flier on 6s Comes without receiver as I removed the spectrum safe Rx. Apart from that it's ready to fly. It has brand new wing struts and fixings. £275 cash on collection (South Wales)
  5. As new Calmato 60 version 1 (not the 2 piece fuselage). Assembled with servos but no engine fitted. Asking £175 collection only.
  6. Plan built Stampe 52 inch wingspan. Covered in nylon painted and fuel proofed. Airframe and fuel tank only but missing cowl. £60. Collection only South Wales.
  7. Stored since maiden flight due to original engine (Enya 90fs) being under powered. Very good condition. Original article available see link. Asking £150 collection only. South Wales Sportster.pdf
  8. I created a log file from the GPS telemetry on my tx and on examination the GPS locations were exactly correct. However the live telemetry data on the tx screen is always 0.3deg out and I'm easy of Greenwich when I should be west
  9. I tested the M10 module using ublox ucenter2 with a usb dongle connection to the pc. Within a minute it found 21 satellites and gave the location exactly correctly. So why when using elrs telemetry is it so consistently wrong and is there a workaround?
  10. I have a similar confusion with a GPS module connected to a elrs receiver with pwm converter. The converter has a UART connection to a GPS sensor and provides data to my tx via telemetry. It fixes 10 satellites quickly but consistently reports the location wrongly. It is about 0.3 degrees out both for N/S and E/W. Additionally the E/W figure is positive when it should be negative. So I am also in the North Sea. I have tried this with 2 different satellite GPS sensors and get the same results .
  11. I want to do some autonomous flight with fixed wing models. I'm wondering whether to go with inav or autopilot. I have a Speedybee F405 wing FC and a Skywalker 6 with GPS camera and vtx. Grateful for any experiences or suggestions. I am confident with it and complex setting up through betaflight with a homebuilt quadcopter
  12. Is this foam able to withstand the temperature for covering with laminating film? Also does anyone have a link to the 2204 motor?
  13. Would it make sense for the rid to be self powered with a tiny rechargeable like the lost model alarms you can get now? Then just velcro it to the model before flying?
  14. I've never quite understood the concept that introducing new laws will stop those who habitually break the law. Anyway being a less than habitual type I thought I'd better check what the heck a rid is? Spectrum site says "One way to think about Sky™ and Remote ID is that it's simply a digital license plate for the aircraft. It provides required information about the aircraft's location and identification, which, if necessary" So that implies a reg for each plane! Or are we allowed to swap a single registration plate across as we can't with our cars?

  16. I have set up an Eflite Opterra 2m with a Foxeer fpv camera and I am trying out a self leveling gyro system with GPS antenna for return to home. I have a Bigaole GL-6G-AP unit and bench testing seems to work in it's 3 modes i.e. off, stability and rth. The uncertainty I have is once the GPS fix is established, the instructions are not clear on setting the home point. Does anyone have experience with this unit.?
  17. Does anyone have experience of the FRsky GPS device ? Is it useful for position altitude and speed data? I have GPS modules for linking to flight controllers. Cana generic gps module be connected to the FRsky smart port and act as a telemetry sensor?
  18. I keep my disdain for important things
  19. Thanks for the tip. I was wondering about toothpaste tubebut it's pretty thin. I've found roll on deodorant bottle makes good small fairings or air scoops as it's very strong.
  20. Here's my layout. I'm wondering if the vtx antenna is too close to the GPS antenna.
  21. My other query is does the vtx antenna have to be outside the fuselage? Is it hidden from the video receiver on the ground by the wing or fuselage? Does that interfere with the transmission?
  22. Thanks. I have created an air scoop and mounted the vtx in between 2 heat sinks in such a way that it sits in the cooling air stream. I am also going to incorporate a sold state switch to allow me to switch on the vtx when wanted when airborne.
