  1. Cold but calm morning in Yorkshire land. Nice morning at the ‘local’ with the wee-man. Loving the ‘marmite’ auto-gyro but thankful of helicopter experience. Small mishap with the Wot4 and nice to catch-up with @Jolly Roger and his olympian glider catching skills!
  2. Yes, practice makes perfect and makes in keeping the hand in and also for some cleaning at the end of the day!
  3. With the couple of recent worst/best engine threads over the last week, I took a rummage in the attic for the woeful RCV-58, thankfully it was not found but I did re-discover a forgotten BNIB Irvine 39 from about 22 years ago! Cinderella moment or what! Quick ARTF build Friday night, into the early hours of Saturday morning. Purring to perfection after x3 tanks, lovely on a 10x6 and will make a great low wing trainer for the boys.
  4. “Mum’s the Word” 🤣 Artistic license and holding your nerve trumps! 💪
  5. RCV58. Tried so hard to like it and form a relationship, never happened. 🤣 Don’t even know where it went, thankfully still not in the attic collection.
  6. ‘Many Dead Sticks’. Remember more than a few, never again. 🤣
  7. What a super thread this is becoming. Love this simple shot of @Nick Cripps Valiant. Taken at ramming speed on the club’s boat. 😎
  8. An uphill challenge for interest in today’s nanny state and indoor entertainment focussed world, but getting there slowly and without pressure. 😎
  9. Thanks for restarting this old thread. Electric has brought about so many great new opportunities but it’s great to still have IC in the mix with all its joys past and present too. Large or small, I still keep my approach minimal, a trusty 30 year old chicken stick (so many memories in that stick), trusty McDaniel Ni-starter (still available from the US), ‘flagon’ of fuel and some pride In that first start off a prime and back-flick! Still have a love for anything small and OS, the 10 being my favourite. Fond memories of starting small glows and diesels in a vice down in the cellar, 40 years ago! I know! Do enjoy the 80’s, 90’s Irvines. Nice examples of 36, 39 and 53s etc.
  10. Snap! 😎👍 Turned out nice and a few pals turned up. Strangely the wind increased and had a few holes in it, but in the main was warm and flyable. Nice afternoon. 👍😎
  11. Good to hear. Assume this would be them? Interested in plan tracing too. https://modernvintagemodels.co.uk
