Finally sorted the remote glow Put a post about it here and there is a piece about the Deans plug. Yes Steve I will be careful about turnig off thge supply before unplugging.

Used solid copper cable and a 10A domestic light switch. There is good glow to all seven plugs,all I have to do now is build a box to put he battery in and a home for the switch. The video for the engine will be posted in due course.Sometime in the spring when the weather warms up...promise

Just a quick one...I have clicked on one of my Meteor photo albums to open it but it says "sorry the album cannot be found"But I can see the heading picture. What is causing this please

Its a modified Traplet 1/4 General Western Meteor.Ihave built the crop duster variant. I have seen two other GW Meteors but never the crop duster. The reg markings are the same as the others because its the same plane but look here. The duster has a 7 cyl Continental radial not the 5 cyl Kinner.

Morning All I have been doing my nut lately......I am trying to find a suitable method of connecting a 7 cyl glow harness to an external battery. The battery in question is a 2v 25amp cyclone,and there is no problem lighting up the plugs if I connect it straight to the loom.However, putting it through a remote glow plug seems to cause too much resistance.Can anybody help in coming up with a suitable plug and socket that ,,A) carries low resistance B) doesn't look like a horrid boil on the side of a scale plane I know you lot are full of great ideas Edited By Peter Smedley on 09/02/2012 08:41:41

I got the engine from Kings Lynn Models and the exhaust ring. Discount for both. Steve sounded a nice guy on the phone and took the trouble of ringing Horizon to find out which of the two recommended props was the best..... p.s.
