on the subject of pollution my 10 year old Focus which does 5000 miles a year costs £245 to tax, an 03 plate Citroen C3 i saw only pays £20 is that fair and in my opinion the reason fuel is so expensive the goverment are not now getting the revenue from new car road tax like they used to do. Sorry i have gone of subject.

3 men go to the pub and pay £10 each for a meal the waiter takes their money to the till and takes our 5 £1 coins, he puts £2 in his pocket and gives each man £1 back. This means the men now have only paid £9 (£10 minus £1 = £9 ) Now count the money 3 x £9 =£27 plu the £2 in the waiters pocket =£29 What happened to the other £1????? The object of this is to show how figures can lie.

I like John Denver you can hear every word he sings and all his songs tell a story. Gili and Caruso are quite good as well.

Just reading a book about the battle of Britain and the 1940's in general, one chapter is about the " home guard" where 6 members took it in turn at having the pistol as they only had one between the six of them, the other five were equiped with potatoes packed with razor blades no doubt to hurl at the enemy if invaded, makes the mind boggle!!!!.

Bruce even at 5 litres they would still be at .5 of a penny and there is no such currency. The point i was making is that there is no such thing as .1 of a penny.

Has anyone else noticed the "optical illusion" you get with these ?. If you look at the blades they seem to slow down as they go over the top and speed up on the way down and up again. ( should have gone to Specsavers)
