  1. Keep up the good work BEB Whoops forgot no chit chat sorry
  2. Is the next survey  going to be 35megs versus 2.4? could be a good one.
  3. Age 69 starting modeling at age 10 with Keil Kraft Playboy and Ajax then on to control line Started radio control at age 35 Still flying scale and sport
  4. Good mag as usual but for me the best bit is the letter on page 57 from Dave Ashendon.
  5. best mail order Inwoods Best ARTF Model Vmar Arrowtiger Ripmax Futaba section very good
  6. AS an after thought i think all Futaba radio sets of that era were supplied mode1 so that's possibly another reason.
  7. I fly sport and scale and have allways  flown mode1 because that was how i was taught way back in 1975 mode 2 was very rare then i think only one other person flew mode 2 the area i am talking about is Hull, East Yorkshire.
  8. Thanks Frank,  I cannot remember the number of the 6 channel receiver all i know is when i spoke to the importers (Horizon Hobbies?) they confirmed that the aileron channel was linked in the receiver to eliminate using a Y lead
  9. No, I simply ordered the DX7 with 2  7 channel and 1  6 channel receivers charger etc as i had read in the mags all the blurb and never gave it any thought, also i  was not aware that the 2 aileron channels where linked so that was a disapointment.
  10. It was sold as a full range receiver at the time,Futaba are quity of this sort of thing with their R146iP1024 if you talk to Ripmax they confirm range of 300 to 500 meteres but not advertised as such.
  11. I would like to add my experiance, last year having flown my mates madel with the DX7 i was so impressed with the tranny i bought a Combo DX7 and a couple of 7 channel recievers also a 6100. first flight with the 6100 receiver seemed ok untill about 300 metres out when the aircraft went in on full power with no warning so sold it all and went back to Futaba FF7 witn no problems. I am wondering in heinsight is the 6100 a limited range receiver.

    Futaba 8FG

will it do 3 times what i can do with my FF7 as that is the price differance?

    Futaba 8FG

The price of a  Futaba 7 channel 2.4 reciever is comparable with an equivelant Futaba 35 meg PCM not to be confused with "after market" non genuine receivers.

    Futaba 8FG

Inwoods are selling them less  than £300 for tranny only.
  15. Mine arrived this morning in large box containing the module and two catalogues. Just need a suitable tranny for it to go in.
  16. Did any one receive a letter saying they had won one dated 1st of April. The whole thing is a joke, so they give me a module and i then have to buy a reciever, but what about a tranny to put the module in?
  17. I to have been told i have won a module but that they are out of stock, surely they should have expected a big responce to  the competition so why were they not in a posotion to supply. one of the best advertising ploys ever ( we give you a module now you must buy our receivers) very clever.
  18. Hi Timbo this not a reply but a question.I have just seen your picture of Sportsman Aviation Spitfire.I have just bought one.Where did you obtain the lovely spinner? did you have trouble with the retracts as mine do not bend at a right angle for the wheel to fit they are straight all the way down.
  19. If at first you dont succeed try and try again
  20. Hi I have an SC52 4 Stroke and it is "spot on " and at £75  is a snip.
