  1. Many thanks David and Will for your interest , I'll be taking the advice and building in the washout, thanks again .....Trevor
  2. Hi all and a Happy New Year ! Santa was a very nice man to me in delivering the T.N. 46 inch Spitfire complete kit, but there appears to be a decision to be made. The plan shows 6 mm washout at the wingtip but the RCM&E build review (accessed via T.N. website) says no washout required , so appealing to modellers who have knowledge of this aeroplane or Mr. Nijhuis himself , do I build in washout or not ? .........Trevor
  3. Forgot to mention (all part of the illness!) sledging in the local park , no other 66 yr olds there , don't know why! and flying the Twinstar in deep snow last week , all great fun!
  4. I like cycling and motorcycling , I'm 66 and a flying friend of mine is 62 , we did 20 miles on our road bikes on Tuesday this week then on Wednesday I strapped my EPP Bullet to the back of my Triumph Bonneville America and rode to the local slope for a quick (very quick!) bit of clifftop slope soaring ! It was freezing! At my age you can't keep waiting for warm weather!!

Hi Chris, the Druine is the Top Gun 36 inch w/s in Swiss markings , it's an artf kit , balsa built and nicely covered in film, it's a bit faster than looks right but it's a great little plane. What size is your Ebay Turb ?   regards ...Trevor

Hi Chris, sorry to hear of your problems , best wishes that the op goes well. I've recently traded in my 2001 Triumph Sprint ST for a Triumph Bonneville America , it's 2008 model which I bought for £1000 under new price but it has £2000 worth of Triumph extras including noisy pipes so it sounds great but they(the bike)  are underpowered, your bike certainly sounds like a hooligan machine! Modelwise I've still got the Twinstar I started with 3 years ago but it's now got brushless motors on 3s Lipo and it goes like stink, a 36 inch Druine Turbulent , a Flying Legends Spitfire which I bought unflown for £15 and an Art tech Mig which I inherited from my son . I fancy building a T.N. Spitfire but it will have to be the 45inch one as I fly on a sports field and I like to keep within the parkfly size . All the best, .......Trots  (Trevor)
  12. Try your local pharmacy ,they may do it for you.........regards Trevor.
  13. Thanks Garry for the reply , good luck with the Spit , I'll keep monitoring the forum.......Trevor
  14. Hi Garry, just wondering if your Kyosho Spitfire has taken to the skies yet as I am considering one of these for myself . The choice at the moment is between the Kyosho and the Ripmax Spit. I know the Ripmax Spitfire flies like a dream but the Kyosho has the features I like i.e. retracts and flaps . Would appreciate your opinion and anyone else reading this who may be able to advise........regards Trevor
  15. Wish I was younger (i.e. alot younger!) ,at 66 am I too old ?!!!

  22. I see Martyn you have taken the words from my mouth, I was about to suggest you collect all your ramblings , observations and experiences and put them into a book , there must be a few thousand modellers who would buy it! Keep up the excellent and fascinating work !
