  1. Hi Barry Don't beat your self up we all go through it at the start and beyond so hang in there and it will all come together its worth it in the end and we all look back and think what was it all about. Happy hovering Owen.
  2. Hi John I think this is a heli that is very simular to walkera and the parts are mutch the  same try The H K shops on Ebay as I by all my spares from there and do not pay any thing extra just the cost and P & P but much cheaper than the states hope this helps. good luck Owen.
  3. Hi Phil I think you have found the arnser, the rx must have the Gyro built in so will need to be on its side, so it stops the tail flaping around this is only my veiw so not gospil but try that and se how you go. hope this helps Owen.
  4. Hi David I can try to point you in the right derection, as this is the basic set up needed to get you started and in to a low hover, If you first look at the swash plate in the midel of the heli on the main shaft this is the thing that is conected to the servos, start by disconeting the motor so you can have the radio on and move all the controls in safty, now put the heli at eye level on a flat surfas with all the sticks on the tx at nutral, the swash plate should be level in all derections and square to the shaft in all derections, the throtle stick should then be able to be moved up and down, and all servos should move at the same time to gether, now check the tail servo this should be set so it has equal movement on the servo arm, and the tail blades should be in the nutral and flat possision when the ruder stick is in the midele, this is only the very basic things to look for, and we may need to try other thigs to solve your problems but try this first, and take it very slow and be very slow in your progress, and you will get there in the end. happy setup Owen.
  5. Hi Barry Do not try to fly it, one of your settings is rong, and it will crash all servos must move in all derections as you have to constantly put in input on the elivator and aliron stick to fly it, so go through all the settings and make shore that they are all right to the Tx  and heli Manuel, this is all I can say at this point hope this helps. up up and away Owen.
  6. Hi all I have just become the proud farther of a Vortex R 22 two channel heli and as it happens it is not as bad as it may seem, this little C X heli is totaly ok it hovers totaly stable and stears on the ruder very well, it is very robust in the way its built, and if you push the battery to the fruont of the battery holder it flys gentley fullward. The small two channel Tx is very smonth to operate and controls the speed and ruder totaly propotional, and this is so unusual for a two channel Tx as they mostly do not work very smoothly. so if you need a heli for £21 including P & P look on Ebay and be amazed at this good value heli. on a budget Owen.
  7. Hi all I have a GWS and it works fine but you only get what you pay for and GWS is cheap but ok. all tuned in Owen.
  8. Hi Steve. The Ebay Ide is vesoul.trdg item number 250306677179 hope this helps It seames that the heli is four channel only the controler is two so if you have already got a 4 channel tx then the heli is a good spair. Up up and away Owen.
  9. Hi Steve I am so pleased that you are to be come the proud father of a robi 22, as this a sound move and will give you hours of fun. I have just fund a site that is selling the two channel model for only £20.99 on eBay and decided to get one just for the spares as it is cheaper to bye the hole heli and take it to bits for parts than to bye the spares singly, hope you get loads of fun and hovering. happy hovering Owen.
  10. Hi Gordon and Timbo. I have a Robins 22 and it showes red only at full throtl or if the batterys are going flat. keep charged up Owen.
  11. Hi Neal. I know where your coming from, and this got me at first but then I came up with a plan, and decided to think of the heli as a flat plate that will tern clock wise or anti clock wise and by using this idear what ever way the heli is going the stick still duse the same thing left stick anti clock wise right stick clock wise hope this helps. One step fallward two steps back Owen.
  12. Hi Steve. I have only ever had to upgrade the center shaft, as the fly bar has a habit of  flicking of when you are learning, but as for motors and blades I still use the standard parts that it came with motors can give up the gost. I am on my second set, but I do fly four times a day for ten minits at a time, so cant complain. Robins 22 are the best Owen.
  13. Hi Steve. I have only good things to say about my Esky Robins 22 It was cheap to by cheap to up grade and has Cept me flying every day for over a year now and has taken every thing I have dun to it in its stride good well designed heli good luck with your choice. happy hovering Owen. .
  14. Hi all. I am not a lover of cyano, as has been said Meany times it can brake under shock load, and dose not stick to Solar film that well, so I tend to use PVA or Epoxy. Stick to the point Owen.
  15. Hi all. the blind nuts as you call them are a cause for concern, as the ones on the Sea Fury striped on only moderate tightening, and if this happened in the air one can only imagine the out come, so I think if possible use bolts with the head on the back of the fire wall locked in place with washers and nuts on the out side of the fire wall, and then nylock nuts on the motor mount this is my two penn'orth hope it helps. All screwed up Owen.
  16. Hi all. Sounds like a signal problem, when close to the heli all right, when away it glitches. I have had this in the past and its all ways down to pore radio gear if you change the Tx and Rx it will probably be Ok. hope it gets well soon Owen.
  17. Hi David. Thanks for that and if only the readers would become writers the forum would be able to help so many more people to get the best out of this hobby. Get up and go Owen.
  18. Hi all. This is a meager amount of people and so little feedback, come on the lot of you - we need more to grouce about and have a good chinwag over - the thing needs to grow to survive, and dont just read, have your say and find out good and useful information, and have a good gos in the bargain, so come on let stop sitting on the fence and give it a go. Up front Owen.
  19. Hi Derek. I made one for my Copterx, and the standard one bent so I tyred to straiten it and it snapped so I then made one out of stainless steel and that one bent to. so I can only think that the grade they use is quite hard and this means it is high carbon and not stainless. happy hunting Owen.
  20. Hi Simon and Timbo. Its nice to see the sun and no wind out there. I have don the same thing on the odd acasion and always got it back to gether and flying the same day so not so bad as they look we all have to learn the hard way. the higher they go the harder they fall Owen.
  21. Hi John. I think Robert is on the right track and the thing to do is run the heli to just short of the point were you think it is starting the glitch, land it, and then hold the heli at arm's length away from you and run at low throttle till it starts to run the pack flat, and if it glitches then you may have found the cores of the glitch. I hope this is of some help. Best of luck Owen.
  22. Hi all. No not mad highly courage's and totally in control. good one Owen.
  23. hi all. It is so grate to see that there is still that odd person out there that is willing to go that extra mile, and be a pioneer this is what makes us as humans that little bit special. one goal Owen.
  24. Hi John. That's very good news as I have just had a crash on the standard gyro and as you say its all about the hover and keeping it strait in wind good won ile get one soon. happy hovering Owen.
  25. Hi all. The best place I have fund to by batterys and soler panels is ebay £20 for a 1 watt 17 volt panel it keeps a 12 volt battery in top shape. all charged up Owen.
