  1. Yes please, 109 with a i/c option and retracts, you know me , 55" or there abouts will do for me , as above next winter 😉
  2. Thats what i did with the drab olive, got it scanned and matched at bnq, they came up with "Deep canyon" which to me still don't look right. To brownish, and then RW changes the colour to " wood pigeon " which looks about right, 🤔 any further thoughts chaps?? Much appreciated Graham. ( cornwall)
  3. Eric thanks, i need a green to do / match - what they used during WW II, as i have a 64" Mk 9,and several other refurbs- kits to do. Need to get a good match 👍 Note: i tried the Guild - olive drab matt, then over sprayed with : "aerokote" for a gloss finish, it pickled, should have stuck with the bnq match pots. Hence need to find the right match.
  4. Looking good Richard, having bought a pot of "ballina" I've now got to get a wood pigeon ! 😉
  5. Richard, i'll go with the macchi 202, with retracts maybe flaps, slightly larger will do for me, as i'll be doing an i/c version, not for you to worry about. Will look up Brians build thread 😉 Btw: can you sort out the bloody weather : wind and rain . Much appreciated Graham ( Cornwall) 😉👍
  6. Is this one going to be a bit bigger,? think you mentioned it somewhere along the line, Razor back for me "snafu" 👍
  7. Flyer The method when using brown paper, is to paste it, wait 1 min for it to grow, then apply it wet, so when ironed on it shrinks like appling any film covering, this adding strength to the model. Using a cheap pva - it'll be watered down more, not good as bubbles the paper. Bye a quality brand 😉 and dilute about 5%, Richards just done a write up on this on another thread.
  8. Anybody ever tried wallpaper paste, as in the stuff thats already mixed in a tub, talking about on the brown paper, instead of the pva mix. Just a thought as i have a tub on the shelf.
  9. Yes Stu, was thinking maybe i'll get one later in the year and convert it to run on a 52 fs.😉🤔
  10. Looking good Richard, very much tempted, would have to be an i/c version for me which will aid with the nose weight, plus retracts of course. 👍
  11. Could someone tell me where Rons weathering/panel line video is please, or provide a link. Many thanks Graham (Cornwall) I actually thought Eric was going to do one, as he mentioned it on the brown paper vid.
  12. Automotive 2x pack as previously mentioned, or " Delux materials" Aerokote, which is a 2 part mix, dries to a gloss finish, for which you can buy a matt additive to dull it down..👍
  13. Ron Just watched your demo video, well done mate, its so easy, i've been using this method since being introduced to it by Richard. Looking forward to the "weathering/panel lines" video, to see what techniques you use 😉
  14. Thin your pva to the consistency of milk, paint onto the dull side of brown paper, wait at least 30secs for paper to " grow" , apply to surface smoothing out from middle with cloth, i use a travel iron dry to iron on, yes there will be some steam given off. Note pva reacts to heat. Edges can be given another brush of pva ironed flat to help stick down, i then leave overnight to thoroughly dry. Fine sand with very fine wet n dry used dry. To get rid off hairy feeling. Then i coat with thinned dope to seal the surface, before primming, this step isn't necessary. And rub down again . Just my method of finishing. 👍
  15. Four ? As in four wellies in the box 🤔 was thinkng its a large box for a pair of wellies-- unless " lipo man " is a large bloke 😉
  16. What ever you choose for your next project Richard ,thinking twin, and i like your Hienkel 111, or maybe a westland whirlwind , please make it big enough for i/c thinking 72" w/s.😉
  17. That's a yes from me on both accounts 👍
  18. Well i do happen to have a campervan so it is a possibilty, even though it would be a 6hr or so drive for me, 🤔
  19. Hi Nigel Yes I'm the same as in kits in the loft. P51B, 63" Hurricane, & 63 " LA7. Plus TN beaufighter, so like you. Having to rein it in for christmas, expensive time of year for me, having built the 55" LA7, and 110. Can thoroughly recommend Richards quality productions and after service. So thinking / waiting to see the tempest, after xmas, probably build it as i/c though. Don't want to "miss the boat" as the kits are produced to order 👍 Cheers Graham ( Cornwall) ps long way to Buckminster for me 🤔
  20. "Cracking mate" now all we need is a jockey- and please no Barbies/ ken's 👍
  21. You do produce some good stuff Richard,, keep up the good work. Like your treble 111.😉
  22. Cheers for the response, i didn't mean for yourself to document/ produce an i/c version of either kit, as you say it's simple quick build entry level warbird with no complications. I would make the necessary alterations to fit engine/ retracts. I really wanted to know if the airframe, firewall would take a i/c fit. Wrt TN stuff- over priced, not exactly scalish looking enough for me, yes i'm picky, and as you know I like you kits, back up service,, etc 😉
  23. Richard 1)Are we going to see any pictures of the Tempest, and 190 as in finished articles, with weathering/ panel lines etc.? Or are they "work in progress" . 2) Do you think the tempest will stand conversion to i/c with retracts. Cheers Graham ( Cornwall)
  24. Ron, you want a " mug shot " of the man himself - there like rocking horse do doos 🙂 Can see the " lads" getting jealous over this one? Hope you've got the "Haribos " ready!!
