Thanks for that Albert, in the same boat myself, fuel supplies running very low, so this is good news. 👍

Some project this is, i'm sure it'll be worth it in the end. As previuosly stated :- this kit needs to be " marketed" beyond this thread/ group of readers/ followers, Need some sort of promotional video, plus "warbird replicas" website, Odds on Richard & co have it in hand.Need to put " the Lads" to work Richard 😉👍

"Cracking" video Paul 👍

Hi Nigel Yes your right, the new oleos are longer than those in the first batch, which had the piano wire coil. Got mine with the retract package as supplied by Richard .

Progress on my P51B. Steerable tail wheel assy, manufactured, and fitted, 🙂
-
David, not sure, but its the one i'm going to model mine on. Still in the building stages. Got the decals from RW, with the kit when they came out? Some time ago now, in the process of installing a steerable tail wheel, hence all the conflab above over tail wheels.

Couldn't agree more 😉

Andrew, good to know i'm not the only one building the mustang atm. Started mine in Nov, but had this respiritory virius thats going around so progress is a bit slow. Doing P51b , i/c version 👍

Declan: ref masking tape, i use the "frog" yellow " low tack" available from BnQ. Gives good results with no bleed underneath. Don't use there cheap blue masking tape 😕 as paint bleed. "You get what you pay for in this life" 😉

What a load of " malarkie" thank goodness if fly i/c , keep it simple. 1x 5cell nimh for everything. No problems 😉
-
Chris you can just about see my home made tail wheel assy in this shot. The linkage inside : tiller arm silver soldered ,controlled via a seperate push rod from the rudder servo.

Payneib," good luck with that " think your over complicating things. But then your using petrol engines ? If i remember correctly,I have no experience with these, being a glow man.

Personally, i prefer a steerable tail wheel, but then i fly of a tarmac runway, and like taxing out and back after a flight. Always make all my tail wheels steerable.👍
