  1. I'm curious as to what makes them 'professional' models (maybe he paid someone to assemble them for him)
  2. Singapore Post is notoriously slow, but there is another problem. Once the package leaves Singapore, tracking is done by the Royal Snail and the first you will find out from them is usually a postcard saying that you owe them VAT on both the original cost and the postage, plus a 'handling fee'
  3. Any time I used 'Live Chat' it was about as useful as a chocolate teapot. It's based (I believe) in the Philippines and has no direct input into any of the warehouses; they rely on stock answers (they're able to read tyour order status) but that's as far as it goes
  4. Same here =- there is junk but there are also bargains. You have to know what you're looking for and either assess it from the pictures or contact the vendor. I've bought new and used items including a new 40W CO2 laser cutter and a second hand Fermi fretsaw (for a bargain price). I've never had a problem and I know that if there's a hiccup I can rely on paypal/google to sort it out. Moral is - if it looks like junk or overpriced, then it probably is
  5. That's a standard 9 pin D Sub connector (it was very common back when computers had serial ports).
  6. That's the point Don - they didn't do a throw in - just grabbed the ball and straight back into play.
  7. Next week is rose planting time :D But can someone tell me when the rule about stepping into touch to catch the ball was changed? I watched the Scots step over twice to catch an incoming ball. When I learnt to play you did NOT hold the ball if you were over the touchline (it's the same as stepping into touch - isn't it?) Edited By Daithi O Buitigh on 10/03/2018 16:20:19
  8. Low lie the fields of Athenry...................
  9. Some nice shots here (I do believe the flying shots of the Harry Tate are faked though)
  10. Simon, if it's any use, I uploaded a collection of Sopwith factory drawings to hippocket some time back. There's detail you wouldn't believe (and would never see anyway) but stuff like instruiment panel, the (removable) pocket watch (apparently this was a very popular item if the pilot forgot to take it out after landing), thew pilot's seat (16 SWG 'armour plate' ) and so on. set 1 set 2 set 3 You need to register on the forum page and drop a PM to Ratz to get access to the plans section
  11. For sale: one chariot, no longer running sweet, found abandoned at Murrayfield and suffering from a Celtic curse. Offers to Eddie Jones, c/o Twickenham Edited By Daithi O Buitigh on 24/02/2018 18:49:11
  12. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow - we've been plagued by injuries.
  13. I think the pen pusher in the Finnish aircraft registration office may have had one too many when he allocated this one I slipped and said Czech (OK) instead of Finnish (OH) I must have had one too many as well Edited By Daithi O Buitigh on 23/02/2018 20:48:14
  14. Just for a change, this guy is selling the repros of the old Veron Tru-Flite kits for a quid less than Vintage (with free postage) Mark you, I can recall being able to buy 4 Tru-Flite/KK Junior Scale kits, a large tube of Britfix, a can of dope, my copy of Aeromodeller and pay my bus fare home and still have change from a quid :D Edited By Daithi O Buitigh on 07/01/2018 22:16:45
  15. Hip Pocket has all profile publications in pdf - the Emil is Profile number 40 and the Gustav is 113
  16. All I got was a note saying I owed the coal merchant for one lump
  17. You need the driver - check here for a 'how to'
  18. Like all fasteners they would be a standard size (so that the Erks didn't have to carry round an assortment of different size screwdrivers to open them) In the case of the Spit, they would be 1/2 inch (the RAF hadn't gone metric back then)   Edited By Daithi O Buitigh on 07/12/2017 01:19:58
